ORDINANCE NO-546.

AN ORDINANCE P,EGULATING AND LICENSING CERTAIN MACHINES AND THE OPERATION THEREOF,
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATING OF SAID ORDINANCE,

which was read for the first time and the Council proceeded to a consideration of Bill No.
6.
Thereupon the following preamble and resolution was presented to the Mayor and
Councilman Babcock who moved the adoption thereof which motion was seconded by Councilman
Boynton.
RESOLUTION
By Babcock.
WHEREAS, The Ford Police car had been traded in as a part payment on the new
Chevrolet for the Police Department for the reason that the said Ford had become so old
and worn out that it was of no value to the Police Department of the City of Caldwell

nand could secure the sum of $125.00 as part payment on the new Chevrolet for the Police-
Department, and
WHEREAS the 'Burns Chevrolet Co., had agreed to accept said Ford as a down payment
for said 'amount and it appearing t1nat it was for the best interest of the City of Caldwell
and the Police Department and that said offer be accepted,
NOW, TREREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and
direeted'to execute a bill of sale of said car to the Burns Chevrolet Co., duly attebtdd
by the City Clerk,
A Yea and Nay vote vies had thereon with the following results
Yeas Oakes, Boynton, Babcock and Hinds.
Nay; None,
Absent and not voting: Mumford and Fenrich.
Whereupon the Mayor declared the motion rtaly carried and the preamble and re-
solution duly adopted.
No further business appearing, it was moved by Oakes, seconded by Boynton that

It was moved by Babcock, and seconded by Rinds that the rules requiring a pro-
posed Ordinance to be read on three separate days be suspended and that the proposed
Ordinance be read the second time by title and tl gird tdmte in full. The Mayor di-
rected the Clerk to call the Roll on the >ftotion as stated, which resulted as follows-
Those voting in favor of the motion wares O Mumfm�d,nabcock, FFenrich and Hinds.
Those opposed: None. Absent and not voting: Boynton. The Mayor declared the motion
carried by the necessary three- fourths majority, and directed the Clerk to read the pro-
posed Ordinance the second time by title and the third ti -e in full section by section.
The Clerk than read the propos�Ordinance as directed, on the question as put by the
Mayor, "Shall the proposed Ordinance pass 4^ the Mayor di- rected the Clerk to call the
Roll, which resulted as follows;- Those voting in favor of the proposed Ordinance were:
Oakes, Mumford, Babcock, Fenrich and Finds. Those opposed: None. Absent and not vot-
ing Boynton. Thereupon, the ' Mayor declared the proposed Ordinance passed, and in open
session of the Counc'l, the Mayor signed and approved the said Ordinance, and the Clerk
