Council met in regular session with Mayor Ward Presiding, the following Councilmen were present; Dunlap, Fouling, Hayman and Westoott absent Moore and Sutton. Minutes of last meetings read and on motion Fouling seconded by 17estoott same were approved as. read. Sidewalk resolution No 6 for the construction of Sidewalk to the Odd Fellows Home was presented and 04 motion Hayman seconded by Feuling._„ same was adopted. ORDINANCE 110 jUL ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE DECLARIIG THE IN TENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CALDW=- IDAHO TO CREATE 910 EST�BM iSH LOCA- STREEET IMPROVEMLNT DISTRICT NO 5 OF THE CITY OF CALDWML IDAHO FUR THE PHRPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING SUITABLE OURBS AND GUTTERS THEREIN SR'ATING THE STREETS AND ALLEYS UPON WHICH SAID IMPROVMIENT IS TO BE MADE '9I'l TIM GENERAL CHARACTER OF OF SAID PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS. On motion of Councilman Westoott .seconded by Councilman,_Dunlap, the foregoing Resolution was offered for adoption and upoii the "vo.te ,biing,takenthe same was unanamously adopted at the regular meeting A ,'t -0 City ouneil of the City of Caldwell, Idaho this 2, day o4: August, Y920 Attaat• _.Grent.WSUd 'w s Maxey City Clerk. - SE RESOLUTION. ,HPaR S, the crossings over the Rail Road Tracks on Fifth Avenue in Caldwell, Idaho are all now in a dangerous and impractical condition for traffic on the public streetp and WHERUS, the said public has been paved and put in first class condition at oonsiderable expense to the ownera of the property, abutting upon said Fifth avenue, and WHEREAS, the only portion of said street throughout its entire length now remaining out of condition and dangerous to traffic is that portion where the said Hail Road Tracks cross the said street. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the 0 S I -iR R Co, be, and they are herebt requested to pave the portion of thensaid nail Road Tracks where they cross Fifth Avenua in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, in a manner similar to the track in the alley on the Borth side of Kimball Avenue. On motion of Councilman sNestcott seconded by Cou,joilman Dunlap, the egoing Resolution was offered for adoption and upon the vote being taken the same was nnanamously adopted at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, this2, day of August, 1920. Moved by $ayman and seconded by Wa stcott that the City in constructing Pavement on South 7th. Ave. from Alley adjoining City Hall South provide fro a 20 foot parking in center of Street the curbing on each side of Street to be placed 10 feet from property line and paving 20 feet wide on each side of parking in center of Street. Carried. Annual appropriation Bill for 1920 read the First time. Letter read from Mr Kelsey Consulting Engineer yfgl# # in which he called attention to the Council to the fact that grades on South Kimball and Cleavaland Boulevard do not drain and are very unsatisfactory and will--m cause pavement to settle. Petition signed by Mr Clambey and othebs was presented relative to lack of drainage on Fillmore Street. Moved by Dunlap and seconded by Fouling that street committee be authorized and instructed to take steps necessary to remedy condition. Reports of Sexton Water Supt. Street Dep. and Fire Chief read same were approved and ordered placed on file. Bi by Dunlap and seconded by Hayman that Road Committee in the absence of Fire Committee and the Fire Chief be authorized to purchase a Ton truck for use of Fire Department. the roll being called the vote was; Ayes, Dunlap Feuling Hayman Westoott Absent Sutton Moore. Carried. The recommendation of tha Fire Chief for Hydrants at corner LYlchigsn and Oak Street and corner 18, and Everett was on motion Dunlap seconded by Westoott referred to Fire and Water committee for investigation and report. Moved by Fouling seconded by Hayman that city olerk be author— ized to advertise for bids for the construction of Sewer Dis. No 8. Carried. Fred UcConnell presented plat of Memorial Park Addition to Caldwell Canyon Idaho. and on motion Dunlap seconded by Hayman same was accepted and approved by Mayor and City Council. F D Lockwood presented a replotting of tract M of the Mountain View Subdivision Caldwell Canyon Co Idaho but no action was taken at this time. Moved by Dunlap seconded by Westoott that Water Supt. be instruoted to extend one inch water main from corner Linden Street and Montana south on Montana a distance of three and one half blocks.
