Thrre being no further business appearing, on motion by Mumford, seconded by Hollingsworth, the City Council adjourned said meeting to meet at 9:0 A. 11. on Wed - nesday, the 5 st day of July, 1935. Motion aarried. Mayor - ��� C y Clerk. COUNCIL CHdIIBBRS, JULY 31, 1935. 9:00 o'clock A. M. Pursuant to the adjournment of the adjourned meeting of July 30, 1935, the Mayor and City Council met with the Mayor Emery L. Vassar, presiding. On Roll Call the following Co ncilman answered present- Ed L. Oakes, F.D. Mumford, W.S. Boynton, W.R. Hollingsworth, and G. M. Fenrich. Absent: G. W. Montgomery. This being the time set for the second reeving of Proposed Ordinance No. 520, Bill No. 3, it was moved by Hollingsworth, seconded by Fenrich that the rules requiri the reading of an Ordinance on three separate days be suspended and that Proposed Ordinane No. 520 be read the second time by title and the third time in full, section by section, and placed on its final passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the Roll on the Motion with the following results: Those voting in favor of the motion were: Oakes, Boynton, Hpllingsworth, Mumford and Fenrich. Those opposed : 'None. Absent and not vot- Montgomery ing. G. I./ The Mayor then declared the motion had eerried by the necessary three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read the Proposed Ordinance the second time by title an the third time in full, section by section. The Clerk read the Proposed Ordinance as directed. The question then being, " Shall the Proposed Ordinance No. 520 pass ". The Mayole directed the Clerk to call the Roll with the following result. .Those voting in f -vo' were: Oakes, Boynton, Fenrich, Hollingsworth and Mumford. Those opposed: None. Absent and not voting: Montgomery. Thereupon, the Mayor declared that the proposed Ordinance No. 520 had passed, and the Mayor, in open session of the Council duly signed and approved the Ordinance, and the Clerk duly si.-ned and attested the same, which became Ordinance No. 520 . The Mayor then directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinance No. 520 to be printed in the Caldwell News - Tribune, the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, .Idaho. This being the time set for the second reading-of Proposed Ordinance No. 529, Bill No. 4, it was moved by Mumford, seconded by Boynton that the Rules requiring the read - ing of an Ordinance on three separate days be suspended and that Proposed Ordinance No. 521 be read the second time by title and the third time in full, section by section, and placed on its final passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the Roll on the motion with the following results: Those voting in favor of the Notion were, Oakes, Boynton, Fenrich, Hollingsworth and Mumford. Those opposed: None. Absent and not voting: Montgomery. The Mayor then declared the motion had carried by the necessary three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read the Proposed Ordinance the second time by title and the third time in full, section by section. The Clerk read the Proposed Ordinance as directed. The question then being, "Shall the Proposed Ordinance No. 521 pass ". Thereupon, the Mayor declared that the Proposed Ordinance No. 523, had passed, and the Mayor, in open session of the Council duly signed -:nd approved the Ordinance and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same, which became Ordinance No. 523. The Mayor then directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinance No. 523, to be printed in the Caldwell News - Tribune, the official newspaper oP the City of Caldwell, Idaho. It was moved by Oakes, seconded':by Boynton that the Council adjourn. Motion Ise vor t f s City Clerk COUNCIL CHAJB1RS, AUvUST 5, 1935. 8:30 P. M. The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City Hall, with the Mayor Pinery L. Vassar presiding. On Roll Call the following Councilman answered present: Edgar Oakes, F. D. Mumford, W.B. Boynton,. G. M. Fenricb., W.I. R. Hollingsworth, and G. W. Montgomery. Absen : None. The 14nutes Of July 1st, 30th., and 31st., were read and approved as read. A report made by Chief of Police, Boyd on the card rooms and dog license. Mr. Boyd asked permission to burn the city garbage at the dump grounds. The matter was left up to the Health Department. Mr. Vermaas and Mr. Robinson appeared before the Council and presented a peti-ti n requesting the Council to amend Section 14 of Ordinance No. 390. Moved by Bo, - nton, seconded by Montgomery that this matter be left on the table until the 1936 licenses were due. Motion carried. The Clerk read e�etter from Mrs. Earl A. Wheeler, declining the appointment as member of the IdUnicipal Swimming Pool. 4
