Council met in regular session pursuant to adjourn- ment with Mayor Briffitba, presiding, and Counctlmen Adam, Adams, Bardeley, Walker, Zeh, present, Shorb, Clerk. Voted, on motion of Zeh, that the certified check of the Causey, Foster & Co. be returned. Voted on motion of Zeh,,the city accept the proposition of the Idaho Railway, Light & Power Co. for 15 area and 60 tungetene Bill No. 24 by Zeh, entitled, "An Ordinance granting a franchise to the Cald- well Traction Company, Limited, its suce=.ssors or assigns, to construct,operate and maintain a street railway system over, along and upon the streets and alleys of the City of Caldwell, in the County of Canyon, State of Idaho, providing the manner of eon strutting and extending said system, the method of fixing the charges for local servic and requiring the written acceptance of this franchise and consenting to its assignmen was read the first time. A motion was made by Zeh, that the rules be suspended and the readings on three separate days be dispensed with and that Bill No. 22 be read the second time by title a and the third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulted: Ayes- Adam, Adams, Bardaldy, Walker, Zeh -5 Naya- none. Absent- 9teunenberg. So the motion prevailed. Bill No. 24 read second time by title. Bill No. 24 read the third time in full and placed on its final passage, On the queation,9hall Bill No 24 pass? the roll being callled the vote resulted: Dyes -Adam, Adams, Bardeley, Walker, Zeh -5. Nays- None. Absent- Steunenberg. So Bill No. 24 passed, becoming Ordinance No 219. Voted, on motion of Zeh, that the proposition of the Caldwell Traction Co. to move the animal drinking fountian be accepted and that the same be installed in front of the City Hall.
