Kroll and Abbie Barnett, representing the American Legion Auxilary were present and presented to the City Fire Department a Re. suscitstor. The Mayor and Fire Chief expressed their sincere appreciation to the American Legion: Auxilary for the Resuscitator. I L � k NO t This being the time set for the opening of bids for 15,000 gallons of gasoline; the Clerk informed the Mayor and Council that three bids were on file. Motion carried, Mbi.R.W.Zink was present and presented a petition signed citizens petition. ing that the students at the Airport be restrained from flying low over their property. The Mayor informed Mr. Zink that this matter would be investigated. Moved by Bryanti,seconded'bydBlunt that new chairs be purchased for the Council Room. Motion carried. A Petition was presented to the Mayor and Council from property owners on Everett and Painter Streets aetitioniong that they be included in the Sprinkling D"trict. Moved by Blunt, seconded by Frahaer that this petition be granted. Motion carried. The Clerk Read a petitions tlEned by property owners on Fillmore Street & 18th. tp the intersection of Pine Street and running south a distance of 600 ft.1petitioning that these streets be oiled. The Mayor stated that this petition would be taken care of as soon as possible. Application for Card Room License was read from Wilson Beer & Lunch, the fee accompanying the application. Moved by Bryant, seconded by Blunt that this license be granted. Motion c arried. Moved by Fri-hear, seconded by Bryant that the City accept the dead from Mrs. Allis Tucker, also, that the City Clerk have this deed recorded. Motion carried. Moved by Daken, seconded by Bryant that the City Clerk be authorised to -i daust the water bill for Gem State Academy for the month of May to $36. &5. Motionoarried. The City Audit was presented to the Mayor and Council. Moved by Bryant,seconded by Blunt that all recommendations made by the auditor be put Into effect with the exception of No.. 8. Motions carried. Thereupon councilmen Newman, Introduced Bill No 6, Proposed Ordinance No.679, entitled. Bill No B, Proposed Ordinance No, 579, By Newman. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 520 OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0, 508 ENTITLED 1 , AN ORDINANCE LICENSING AND REGULATING PLACES OF BUSINESS WHERE BEER IS SOLD TO THE CONSUMER, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION Or THIS ORDINANCE, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PAETS OF ORDINANCES IN CON- FLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE,CPRDVIDING- AOS2 CTAIISEC, AN EMERUENCY, BY ADDING SECTIONS, TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION 12 and 13, AND REGULATING THE TIME WHEN BUSINESS HOUSES SELLING BEER MAY BE OPEN FOR BUSINESS AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE; which was read for the first time and the Council proceeded to a consideration of Bill No 6. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the motion with the following results one voting in the affirmative were: Bryant, Dakan, Newman, Fresher and Blunt. Negative: ne. Absent and not voting: McD,nnel.
