The roll being called on the motion the vote resulted: Ayes Aokley,Adame,Boone,Harrington and Stauneaberg -5. Mayes -None. Absent- Parker -1. So the motion prevailed. Bill Noll read the second time by title. Bill No.11 read the third time in full and placed on its final passage On the question @hall Bill Nall pass 4 The roll being 0 slled the vote resulted. ayes- Ackley,Adsms,Boone,Barrington and 8teunenberg -5. Noyes -None. Absent- Parker -1. So Bill Noll passed becoming Ordinance No.241. Petition of Myra O'Bryan at al,owners of the land in section 36,asking the City to open a road on the half section line running south from Linden Ave one half mile,and agreeing to give free of cost such part of their land as Is needed for the said road,was read. It was voted upon motion of Ackley that the Clark be instructed to notify the signers of the petition that the Oity would do some work on the said road as soon as title to a fifty foot right of way is conveyed to the Oity. It was voted upon motion of Steunenberg that the Finance Committee be empowered and directed to purchase storage coal for the Oity. It was voted upon motion of Adams that the matter of paying for the water strainer,which had previously been considered,be referred to the Water Committee. It was voted upon motion of Ackley that recess be taken until Monday evening July 20th.,1914,at 7e3o P.M. City Clerk. Council Chamber,City of Oaldwell,Idaho,July 20,1914. Council meet in regular session pursuant to adornment with President of the Council W.E.Parker presiding,Councilipen Adame,Boons and Harrington present S.Ben Dunlap,Clerk,when the following business was transacted. A communication from the Officers of the Village of Middleton,under date of July 9tb,1914,expreesing their appreciation for the services rendered by the Caldwell Fire Department at their recent fire,was read. It was voted upon motion Of Adams that the Clerk be instructed to answer the same in a suitable manner. The Quarterly Report of the City Treasurer for the Quarter ending June 30, 1914 was read. It was voted upon motion of Adams that the report be approved and ordered placed on file. 469 It was voted upon motion of Adams that the City Engineer be instructed and empowered to secure from the Water Works Department seven hundred sixty feet of wooden pipe to be used for the irrigating system to be installed at the Cemetery. Mr H.H.Miller,Auditor Public Utilities Commission appeared with reference to the system of accounts which the Oommieeion require to be installed in xhe Water Works office. It was voted upon motion of Adams that the matter of securing the necessary books and installing the same be referred to Councilmen Boone and Parker with power to not. It was voted upon motion.of Boone that the Fire Committee be instructed and empowered to employ a man as night driver for the auto. - It was voted upon motion of.Boone that C(y/on /uncil adjorn until Monday evening August 3r4.,1914,at 7#3O o'clock P.H. Council meet in regular session with Mayor C.H.Turner presiding,Councilmen Ackley,Adams,Boune,Parker and Steunenberg present,S.Ben Dunlap ,Clark ,when the following business was transacted. Mayor Turner vacated the chair to Councilman Steunanberg.
