Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present, Vfm Glaisyer, L. E.Burrell, Dale Fenrich II and Bryan Harding. Ausent: John P.yurs and Fran Blomquist. This being the date set for hearing protests ,6ainst the proposed estimate of expendit.:res of the �iCit; of Caldvell for the fiscal year ueginning the first day of Yay 1949. SHEPHE,iD, being first duly sworn, deposes and says; That he is the Foreman of The Caldwell News - Tribune, Inc., publisher of THE CALaiTLL NEWS- •TRIBUNE, a daily newspaper published at Caldwell, Idaho, within the meaning of Chanter 154 of the 1933 Session L of Idaho; published six consecutive days a reek except legal holidays. And that the publisher of said THE CAIT.7 :LL NL;lS- TRI ➢UNE, a daily news _per, has all the time since the 5th day of July, 1933 and in each issue thereof, at the head of the editorial column of said newspaper, annnmced the day of the week to -wit: Saturday, on whit; legal notice required by lave or by order of any Court of competent jurzsdi0tion to be pu!b ished weekly, will be published; that the said paper is in general circulation in Canyo. The Acting ;layor asked if there 'eas anyone present that desired to be heard on the matter of the proposed estimate and tax levy. There eras no ono to speak either for or against the proposed estimate. Thereupon Councilman Glaisyer introduced Bill No 3, entitled: I. The 'Cayo- declared the motion had J17_3 ! passed by the necesse+ry three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read Bill No 3, the second time by title and the third in full section by section. The Clerm read the Bill as directed. The question being ' "Shall bill No 3 pass ?" The Acting f, -ayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above question which resulted as follows;: Those voting in the affirmative were; Glaisyer, Burrell, :'enrich arn.l :ford +.ng. Thereupon the Acting Kayor declared Bill No 3, had passed and the Acting Mayor in open session of i the Council duly signed and approved the Bill and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same which became Ordinance No 744, The Acting Eayor directed the Clerk to make proper en`:y of the same and to cause Ordi- nance No 744, to be, published in the Caldwell News-Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
