It wac voted upon motion of Harrington that the policies be refused and
that the amount of insurance now carried on the City Hall be reduced.
Bill No. 15, by Harrington, entitled, "An Ordinance creating a water works
depreciation fund and apportioning thereto money derived from the operation of the City
'Water Udorks Department and defining the purpose of said fund ", was read for the first
time.

first time.
A motion wino made by 2orbes, seconded ;,anberg, that the rules be cuspanded
and the reading on threr, separate day^ be dispensed with and Bill No. 16 be read the
second time by title and t' third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll
being called on the motion tivi vote resulted;

Councilman Farrington stated that a number of people residing on 'hest liven

west from Aven and Second Avenue.
The annual report of the City Librarian for the term ending July 1, 1916, was
read. It was voted upon motion of Harrington that the report be accepted and ordered
placed on file.
Petition o , - " G. d. Van :lyngardner and Henry Udich stating that a nuisanee
existed on lotr 17 and 16 of block 17 Dorman's B >ddition and urging that the Council cause
the same to be abated, was read.
The following insur nee policies, insuring the City Hall for a term of three
years from July 9, 1916, each in the sum of $1,000.00, the premium on each policy being

It was voted upon motion of Ilarrin:;ton that the City 1;ngincer be instructed to
submit an estimate of the present value of the City Hall for insurance purposes.
It was voted upon motion of Forbes that the City Clerk be instructed to
advertise for bids for tinting the rooms in the City Hall and painting the building inide
and out. The Council reserving the right to reject any and all bids.
