The Council mot pursuant to call and acknowledgment of notice in the Following forms CALL AND ACOCUMCI SNT OF NOTICE We the undersigned Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, do each hereby acknowledge notice of a special meeting of said City Council to be hold at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 8100 o'clock P.M. on the 14th, day of July, 1953, for the transaction of all business in connection with the following objects Discussion on enlargmenl of swimming pool, which object was submitted to each of the undersigned In writing. Burrell, Adolph Eggers, Ernest Weick, Dale Fenrich and J. M. Bettis. Absents Fran Blomquist. The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to take up the matter of enlarging the swimming pool. Mr. Frank Crookham, Chairman of the Municipal Swimming Board was present and discussed with the Mayor and Council the proposed plans for enlarging the swimming pool. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Burrell, seconded by Councilman Eggers that the City Engines be instructed to prepare the necessary plans for this enlargement to the swimming pool and present them to the Mayor and Council for their approval. Upon Roll Call it appeared the Motion was unanimously carried. There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Fenrich, seconded by Councilman Burrell that Council adjourn. Motion carried. �7 i 1 City Clerk. The Council met pursuant to call and acknowledgment of notice in the following forms CALL AND ACKNGNIEDOMENT OF' NOTICE We the undersigned Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho; do each hereby acknowledg notice of a special meeting of said City Council to be held at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 8;00 o'clock P.M. on the 15th day of July, 1953 for the transaction of all business in connection with the following objects Canvassing of votds cast at the Municipal Bond Election held July 14, 1953, which object was submitted to each of the under— signed in writing. Burrell Adolph Eggers, Ernest Weick and Dale Fenrich, Absents Fran Blomquist and J. M. Bettis. Thereupon the matter of the canvass of the election returns for the Special Municipal Counon Bond Election, held in the City of Caldwell on the 14th day of July, 1953, came on for consideration. The Clerk, then presented to the council the returns of the election and all other vertinent data. The City Council thereupon proceeded to canvass the results of said election and to incorporate their findings and determination into the corm the following resolution, which was introduced in written form by Council- man ;enrich and pursuant to motion made by Councilman Burrell and seconded by Councilman Eggers, was adopted by the fallowing vote; Aye: L. That the ballot used at said election was in the form prescribed by lave and by said Ordinance Number 807. .76Y Section L. Section 7. That it is therefore further determined and declared that said proposition failed to carry by 'a majority of more than two- thirds of the qualified electors who are taxpayers of the City of Caldwell Idaho, voting at said election; that said election was in all things held and conducted in strict compliance with law. COUNCIL CHAMBERS August 3rd, 1953 11:30 A. M. , The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City Hall, with the Mayor Jason C. Smith, presiding. - Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered presents Fran Blomquist, Adolph Eggers, Ernest Weick, Dale Fenrich and J. 19. Bettis. Absents L. E. Burrell The Bills for July were read and on motion by Blomquist, seconded by Weick that these Bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the various amounts all of which had been approved by the Finance Committee.
