The Mayor announced the appointment of Mary Schmidt as Acting Police Judge during the absence of
Police Judge 91. S. Uaxey.
On Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
There being no further business to come vefore the Council it was moved by Councilmen Mason,
seconded by harding that Council Adjourn. Motion carried.

duly signed and approved the Bill, and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same which became Ordinance
! No 710. The Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinance No 710, to be
i t published in the Caldwell News- Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
Thereupon Councilman Masan introduced Bill No 9, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE, TERMED THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION BILL, APPROPRIATING MONEY IN SUCH SUM AND SUMS AS
ARE DEEMED NECESSARY TO DEFRAY ALL PROPER ERPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF CAIVNELL, IDAHO, NOT
OTHERWISE PROVIDED FOR, rOR TH FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING THE FIRST DAY OF MAY, 1947, PURSUANT TO THE PRO-
vISIONS OF SECTION 49 -1714, IDAHO CODE ANNOTATED, 1932.

Upon motion of Harding, seconded by Myers, the following Resolution was proposed.
WHEREAS, the City of Caldwell is the owner of the following doacribed property&
South East Quarter (SE- Section Ywenty -eight (28) Twp, Five North.,
Range Three West Boise Meridian.
which is located within the Black Canyon Irrigation District, and
WHEREAS the Black Canyon Irrigation District advises that there is a strong possibility that
i irrigation water will be available for the above described land in the year 1948,and, i
I i
WHEREAS it is necessary that a Water Users Contract be entered into with the Black Canyon Irrig-
ation District. .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to enter into a Water
Users Contract with the Black Canyon Irrigation District for the purpose of securing irrigation water for
it the above described land.

Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted.

Department be not turned in to Burn: Chevrolet Co., in connection with the purchase of a new police car
but be decommissioned and the Chief of Police be authorized to sell same on the open market.
On Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. '
Therebeing no further business to come before the Council it was moved by harding, seconded by
Burrell, that Council adjourn. Motion carried.

The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City Hall, with
the Mayor, R. H. ticNeill presiding.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered presents Leo J. Mason, Wm Glaisyer, L. E.Burrell,
John H. Myers, Dale Fenrich and Bryan Harding.
The Mayor informed the Council this was the time set for receiving bide for new fire equipment.
