Den Covjling appoared before the "ayor and Co and asked permission to build a house on 14th., A,,e., between - .Verett and Pillmore Sp, reets with a set -back of nine feet from the sidewalk. This matter raas referred to the City Engineer. Application for pool Hall License was read from S.P.Bow, the fee accompanying the applic- ^tion, Application for CaOd Room Licenses were read f rom H. L, Livesay and S Bow, the fee accompanying the a pplicati -m. Application for goer Licenses were read from S.^. °ow, P. A. desired the City to sponsor the following program; 1. The removing of trees in parks and parkings. 2. The leveling, seeding and general beautification of parks. 3. Repairing of sidewalks and construction of rose oeds in North Park. J. Seeding, leveling and construction of - irrigation system in Block , of Golden Gate Addition tothe Cit -; of Caldwell. 5. Leveling, seeding and planting of Block , in 5 oi.ith Park. .6. Construction of a building for the storage of equipment for the Caldwell Municipal Golf Course. 7, Construction of addition to City Jail, S. Suitable quarters for the cirlls sewing project, and, i94 1711PRMAS, the City of Caldwell is desirous of sponsoring said program in collabvrs tion with the National Youth Administration. THEREFORE, DE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Caldwell sponsor the program above mentioned in collaboration with the rational Yoviths Adminstration and that the City provide the necessary equipment and tools and that they furnish suitable quarters for the Cirl's Sewing project, A Yea and 11 'y vote was had thereon with the following result; Yea; Babcock, McD"nnel, Stengel, F'onrich and Sandmeyer. 3Tay; None, Absentand not voting; Sandford, Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion cn and the preamble and resolution duly e dopted. The Mayor informed the Council that the mooting w as called to take up the pur- chase of new equipment for the Road Department. After due considerntion and ex2mi.nation of the bids a motion tams made by Sand- mayor seconded by b•TOD that the City purchase a sprinkler and flusher mounted on a 3Diamond "T" ' "'ruck from the Evans ilotor Company of Celdvrell, Ida' o. at a price of 14975 A Yea and Nay vote was had thereon with the follovri -ng result; yea 11cpannel, Stengel, Genrich and Sandmeyer.
