WHEREAS, that certain "Airport Agreement" dated August 23, 1943, between the Cityl
ldwell, as p a rty of the first part and Mack S. Johnston, as party of the set end part,
ich lease was thereafter assigned to Jack Medlin; and
WHEREAS, the terms of asidagreement have been violated and broken and the City
sires to terminate said lease and to obtain possession of the property covered thereby;
NOW TFEREFORE, FT IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell
at such legal action.Ap may be necessary to cancel and terminate said Iease and to obtain
ssession of the promises novered t?o reby be and the same hereby is authorized; and the
ty Attorney of the City-of Caldwell is hereby authorized and directed to take such legal

Whereupon it was moved by Councilmen McNeill, seconded by Councilman Frasher,
at said R be adopted. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Sloop,

The Council met on Call of the Mayor with t'ha Mayor, Thurlow Bryant presiding.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: J. Randall Sloop, Pete

The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to take up new and un-

Pursuant to adjournment of July 10th., 1944, the Council met in the Council
Roma of the City ;call with time Mayor Thurlow Pryant, presiding.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present; J. Randall Sloop, F. E
Newman, Pete Olesen, R. F. Me Neill and E. E. Frasher- Absent; 0. L. Tf.ornock.
The Council proceeded to consider the annual appropriation bill.
Whereupon Councilman Sloop presented the following %solution and moved the
adoption thereof which motion was duly seconded by Counoilmen Oldsen.

BE IT RESOLVED, That the following is an estimate of the expenditures of the
City of Caldwell for the fiscal year 1944 -1945, and that the following be, and is hereby
adopted, and the following is an estimate prepared by the Mayor and Council of the City
of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, for the prob amount of money necessary for all
purposes to be raised by taxation in the City during the year beginning May 1, 1944, in-
cluding principal and interest due on bonded indebtedness 9 nd sinking funds, itemising as
dlassifying the several branches of expenditures as nearly as may be, to -wit;

A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC MEETING FOR MONDAY, JULY 24, 1944, AT EIGHT OICLOC
P.M., (PACIFIC WAR TIME) IN THE CITY BALL, IN CALDWELL, IDAHO, FOR THE PURPOSE OF- GRANTING
A PUBLIC HEARING PURSUANT TO SECTION 49 -1102 L.C.A. BEFORE THE APPROPRIATION BILL PROVIDED
FOR IN SAID SECTION WHALL BE PASSED BY T7E MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL: A COPY OF WHICH SAL D
ESTIMATE OF T?E PROPOSED APPROPRIATION BILL IS FULLY SET FORTH AT LENGTH UPON THE MINUTES
OF TEE REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL, HELD ON JULY 11, 1944; TEES AID
LEVY FOR GENERAL LEVY PURPOSES BEING IN EXCESS OF TEN MILLS;
WHER?AS, At a regular meeting of the mayor and City Council of the City of
Caldwell, Idaho, held on the llth day of July, 1944 an estimate of the probable amount
of money necessary for all purposes: to be raised in the City of Caldwell, Idal -o, during
the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1944, and ending May 1, 1945, including principal and
interest due on the bonded debt and sinking fund, itemizing and classifying the different
ob,jecta and branches of expenditures as near as may be, with the statement of the entire
revenue of said city for the previous fiscal year, was submitted to the said Mayor and
City Council by the Finance Committee and whioh saideatimate was entered at length upon
the minutes of said meeting of the Mayor and City Council; and
WHERSASs Said Mayor and City Council desire that proper resolution be drawn
granting and fixing the time for a public meeting for hearing protests- against said prp-
posed appropriation bill and give due notice thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED By the Mayor and City Council of the City Of
Caldwe•11, Idaho:
Section 1. That the Mayor and City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho,
have determined that it will require at ax levy for general revenue purposes in excess of
tax mills to raise sufficient money for general purposes as provided by law and as is more
fully ai by the estimate of expenditures of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, for the
fiscal- year beginning May 1, 1944, and ending May 1, 1945,
Section 2. That before the passage of said appropriation bill and before said
levy be made a public hearing is hereby Called and ordered to be held at the City Hall
of said City at the hour of eight o'clock P.M. Pacific WarnTime, on the 24th day of July
1944, upon said estimate and proposed appropriation bill.
Section 3. That notice of said meeting and public hearing shall be given by at
least two publications in The Caldwell'Nows- Tribune, a daily newspaper printed and pub-
lished in the City of Cal dwell, Idaho, which said noticA shall be printed in the Saturday
leauea thereof on July lb, and duly 22, 1944; which s aid notice shall be in substantially
the following form;
"NOTICE OF MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING OF THE PROPOSED ESTIMATED EXPENSES OF
TEE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR PEOINNING MAY 1, 1944; SAID ESTIMATE
AND TAR LEVY FOR GEN�'RAL PURpOSFS 9ELN0 IN EXCESS OF TEN MILLS.

Saving determined at a meeting duly and regularly called and held in the City of Cald-
well; Idaho, on the 11th day of July, 1944, that said City will require a tax levy for

as provided by law; for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1944, duly adopted, passed and
approved by said Mayor and Council at said meeting of July 11, 1944, and appearing in the
minutes of said meeting, held on said date and said Mayor and Council having detexmfined
at said meeting that it will be necessary to pass an appropriation bill appropriating in
excess of ten mills for general purposes of said City for said fiscal year.

That a public meeting and bearing is hereby gtanted on said appropriation bill

For further detailed information concerning said proposed appropriation bill,

fully set forth in the minutes of the Mayor and City Council of said City on the 11th
day of July, 1944.
