appearing that said notice wad published as directed in the said resolution above mentioned, in the News-
Tribune, the official newsnaper of said City, in the issues of June 29, 30 and July 1, 1959, as more fully
sonars by the affidavit of nu'!,lication of said notice on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City
r of Caldwell; and it further appearing, that notice was duly and re.•ularly given in all respects as required

by law and the orders of the Mayor and Council;
And it further an�earing that the time for filing objections and protests having expired, and the

Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: E. L. Vassar, N. E. "Coley" Smith,
Enile .ihorb, L. P. 3ldredge and Leland Tinley. 4bsent: Max Lubv.
The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to take un the 1959 -1960 budget.
Moved by Eldredge the Council aoprove salary adjustments, also, raise the mill levy one mill.
Motion lost for want of a seen d.
Mov: -d by Shorb, seconded by Smith the Caldwell Evnicipal Irrigation taxes be raised 15 %.
Upon Roll Call it aoneared the motion was unanimously carried.
Moved by Eldredge, seconded by Vassar the armory funds be invested by the City Treasurer and the
City Attorney be instructed to prepare the necessary -n -rs to out this into effect. �r

The Mayor reported all departments had presented their estimated budgets for 1959 -1960.

There ❑oon the Mayor and Council proceeded to study the proposed 1959 -1960 estimated budget.
Thereupon Councilm an Eldredge moved the proposed estimated budget for 1959 -1969 be accepted
and the City Attorn be instructed to prepare the necessary papers to out this into effect. Ali

The City Council and Mayor of the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, having determined at a
meeting duly and regularly called and held in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, on the 10th day of July, 1959,
that said City will require a tax levy for general purposes in excess of ten mills to raise sufficient
money for general purposes, as provided by law, for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1959, and as fully set
