The Council met in regular session pursuant to sdjournasnt with Mayor Smeed, presiding, Councilmen, Feuling,Harmon,Kimbrough,Robb, & wheeler, present, and Numford, absent. Joel Brown, Director of Weights and Measures of the Departmeht of Agrioulture of the State of Idaho, appeared before the Council and asked their cooperation in des]. ing with this in the City, so it was voted on motion of Kimbrough, seconded by Pealing that the Mayor appoint a man to be known as Deputy Director of Weights and Measutea within the City of Caldwell. P.P.Kipp, andv W.H.Delyria appeared before the Council and asked to have Block 107 Goandu A ddition and Block 66 Mountain View a ddition, respectively, vacated waspestiveiy from lots to acreage. No action was taken on the matter. Bill No.1, by Feeling, "Entitled. AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE MONTHLY RATES TO BE CHARGED BY THE CITY OP CALDWELL FOR WATER FROM ITS WATER MAINS THROUGH CONNECTIONS, I AND FIXING A MINIMUM RENTAL ", was read for the first time. A motion was made by $imbrough, seconded by Wheeler, that the rules requiring the reading of a bill on thwwe separate days be suspended, and the bill be read the second time by title, and the third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being called on the giotion the result was aefollowe; Ayes;yeuling, Harmon, Himbrough, Robb, and Wheeler, Naves: None.
