"Coley" Smith, Emile Shorb and Leland Finley. Absent: Max Luby and L. P. Eldredge. The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to discuss the 1959 -1960 budget and to inter -, interview department heads on their proposed budgets, also, to discuss salary raises. Thereueon the Mayor and Council proceeded to interview department heads and study the 1959 -1960 budget. No action was taken at this time. There doing no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Smith, s econded by Councilman Shorb that Council adjourn. Moti:n carried City Clerk. Mayor. The Mayor asked if there were any protests to the A ^sessment of Local Improvement District No. h6. There were no protests filed. IMPROVEMENT LI9TRICT NO. 46 OF THE ITY OF CAL1 hi ELL, IDAHO. The Cormittee on Sewers of the City o.'' Cald�; ell, together with the City engineer of said City of aldwell, has heretofore certified and submitted to the Mayor and Louncil, the Assessment Roll of Local mnrovemont District No, 46 of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, and it appearing that the assessment roll was eceived in the of - ice of the City Clerk of the City of Caldwell, at 5:00 o'clock P. 11. on the 22nd day of une, 1959; and that said Assessment poll is now on file in said office; And it further a� nearing that the Itayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, at a meeting of said ayor and Council, held in the City Hall of said City, on the 22nd day o' June, 1959, passed a resolution rdering said assessment roll to be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Caldwell, nd fixing the 9th day of July, 1959, at 5:00 o'clock P. M., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of aid City of Caldwell, as the time and dace for hearing and c nsidering objections to said assessment roll; and directing the City Clerk of the said City to give due and legal notice in comnliance with the Provisions' I of law, of the filing of said Assessment Roll in her office, the date of filing the same and the time and i nlace at which the Council would hear and consider ob, :lecticns to said Assessment Roll by parties ag- rieved by such assessments and the persons by whom and the time within which said obiections should be filed, and further directing that said notice be nublished in three successive issues of the News-Tribune, a daily paver printed and nublished in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, and the official newsaaper of the Citv of Gild- well; all of which more fully anpears in said resolution; And it further annearing that the City Clerk of the said City gave notice of the receipt of said A- sessment aoll and of the time and place fined for hearing protests thereto, directing the time, place and manner of filing said objections; all of which more fully anpears oy said no *.ice, dated the 22nd day of June, 1959, and now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Caldwell; and it further annearing that said notice was published as dimeted in the said resolution above mentioned, in the News- Tribune, the official newsuaner of said City, in the issues of June 25, 3D and July 1, 1959, as more fully ' anpears by the affidavit of nu lication of said notice on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City of Caldwell; and it further annearing that notice was duly and rg ularly given in all respects as required I by law and the orders of the Mayor and Council; II And it further annearing that the time for filing objections and protests having expired, and the 1 � time "axed and anpointed for hearin; and c- nsidering such objections and protests having arrived and it further appearing t '. at no ohJertions or protests whatsoever have been filed in said matter; and said Assess - ment !loll having come on re7ularly for hearing and considerati�n and the same having been fully and duly considered by the Mayor and Covnoil of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, ,nd said Assessment.
