HomeMy WebLinkAbout1920-07-08city council minutesCOUNCIL CHAMBER, July Sth, 1920. Caldwell, Idaho. Council met in regular session pursuant to adjournment with MWor El 111 Ward presiding. The following Councilmen were present: Dunlap, Feuline, Hayman, Moore, Sutton and Wescott. Motion was made by "Dunlap" and seconded by "Hayman" that Council accept bid of the Warren Construotion Co., for construction of Pavement in Pavlgg District No. 4, to be paid for in bonds, same specifications as Districts 2 and 3, On the motion the vote was: Ayes; - Dunlap, Fouling, Hayman, Moore, Sutton, Westcott. Keyes : - None. Carried. Motion was made by "Dunlap" and seconded by "Hayman" that Mayor sad City Clerk be directed and authorized to enter into written contract covering verbal offer made by Mr. Jenkins, Supt., of Warren Construction Company, who was present this date with City Counoil,to effect that in event City is able to procure the construction of the curbing in Pavement District No. 4 at less than the price specified in the written bid of said Warren Construction Company in their bid submitted for construction of Paving District No. 4, the said Warren Construction Company will reduoe the amount of their bid to an amount equal to such reduction. On the motion 2W Yhte was: Ayes: - Dunlap, reuling, Hayman, Moore, Sutton, iestcott. Nayes :- None. Carried. Motion made by "Hayman ", seconded by "Sutton ", thatthe bid of H. C. Durham be accepted and that a committee of three be appointed th investigate and recommend suoh walks that should be constructed. Ordinance No. 342 was read the second time. Motion made by "Dunlap ", seconded by "Moore" that the Supt. of Water Works be instructed to lower all service pipes to at least thirty (30) inches. On motion "Sutton ", Counoil adjourned.
