Sm the motion prevailed I A motion was made by Farrar that the claim of the Warren Construction Co. be allowed in the sum of $27,174.93 on the Paving Fund. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulteds Ayes -- Farrar - Gartin, Paynter - -3. AIlIY Nays -- Clark, Devers, Harris - -3. The Mayor declared the motion lost. I W1J1 A motion was made by Clark that the claim of the Warren Construction Co be allowed-in the sum of $26.933.36, 81,933.36 in warrants on the Paving Fund and 025,000.00 in Bonds. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulteds f' ayes -- Clark, Devers, Gartin, Harris - -4. Nays -- Farrar, Paynter - -2. 8o the motion prevailed, Voted, on motion of Clark, that the Fire Committee investigate the needs ofthe Caldwell Fire Department and report at the next meeting. i There were no protests filed against the creation of Local Lateral Sewer Improvement District No. 4. Bill No. 61, by Farrar, entitled, "An Ordinance to establish a local lateral sewer improvemenr district in the City of Caldwell, Idaho; to provide for the appoint/ ment of a sewerage committee, and conferring upon them certain powers; to provide for the construction of a system of lateral sewerage and sewerage disposal works in said Improvement district ", was read the first time. A motion was made by Harris tkat the rules be suspended and the readings on three separate days be dispensed with and that Bill No. 61 be read the second time by title and the gird time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulteds Ayes -- Clark, Devers, Farrar, Gartin, Harris, Paynter - -6. Nays and absent - -0. So the motion prevailed. Bill No. 61 read second time by title. Bill No. 61 read third time in full and placed on its final passage. On 6s question, a all Bill No. 61 pass? the roll being called, the vote resulted% Ayes -- Clark, Devers, Farrar, Gartin, Harris, Paynter - -6. Nays and absent - -0. So Bill No. 61 passed, becoming Ordinance No. 178. The Mayor appointed the following members of Sewerage Committee Local' 'a• Lateral Sewerage Improvement District No.41 Farrar, Gartin, and Paynter, which appoint- ments were, on motion of Clark, unanimously approved. The Mayor appointed Thomas H. Soule Building Inspector•, which appointment was unanlmodssly conformed on faotion of Farrar. A motion was made by Farrar that the piling be driven along Indian Creek on Blaine Street east from Kimball Avenue under direction of the City Engineer. The roll called on the 3aotion, the vote resulteds Ayes -- Clark, Farrar, Gartin, Harris, Paynter - -5. Nays -- Devers, Absent - -O. So the motion prevailed. 1 -1. , Voted, on motion of Harris , that Council adjourn until Monday, July 11, 1910, at8p.m. July 11, 1910. Council met in regular session pursuant to adjournment, with Mayor Gowen presiding, and Councilmen Clark, Devers, Farrar, Gartin, Paynter, present; Shorbr4 Clerk. The time coming on regularly for the opening of bide for bonds, bide were opened from R. H. Rollin@ & Sons, and C. H. Coffin. The bid of C. H. Coffin not being accompanied by a certified check, was not considered. A motion was made by Clark that the bid of E. H. Rollind & Sons, of Denver, be accepted. July 8, 1910. For $10,000.00 legally issued and properly executed bonds of your City, to be dated July 1, 1910, or some subsequent date bearing interest at the rate of six per cent, payable on the first days of January and July of each year, and both princi- pal and interest payable at the option of the holder at the office of the City Treasurer of Caldwell, Idaho, or at the Chase National Bank, in the City of New York, said bonds being due twenty years after their date, and optional for payment in their numerical order 10 years after their date, we will pay 410,000.00 and accrued interest to date of their delivery to us in Denver, Colo., or Chicago, Ill., at our option. Ne will agree to furnish the blank bonds ready for execution, free of expense to your City. This proposition is made on the understanding that you will furnish us, or caused to be furnished Us, a complete eertifivd transcript of all proceedings relating to the issuance of said bonds evidencing their legality satisfactorily to our attorneys, prmor to the delivery of any bonds to us. We enclose heremitb our certified check No. 10380 for $500 to be held by you as an evidence of good faith, and to be returned immediately in case our attorneys fail to approve the legality of this issue.
