Now.Therefors, be it resolved by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell:
That the firing of Crackers,Sky Rockets, and all other Explosives within t1w Fire Li its
of the City of Caldwell, shall be andis unlawful before 6 P.M. on the 3rd and after 6 A.M. on the
6th of Ju3.7,1922.
it was voted on motion of Rowlan# seconded by Oakes, that the above Resolution be a oepted.
It was voted on motion of Mumford, seconded by Oak", that the Counoi adjourn.

Mum3 ord, Oakse,Rowland, and Westoott present.
John Baker tendered his resignation as Chief_of- Polioe.It was voted on motion of Kimbrough,
seconded by Samford, that the resignation be accepted.
The mayor announced the appointment of T.W.Watkins to fill the vaoanoy caused by the resign-
ation of Baker. It was voted on motion of Weetoott,seoonded by Rowland, that the Appointi,93Tb b
be
approved.
It was voted on motion of Westoott, seconded by Bollman, that the Surety Bond of the
Western National Bank in lieu of the personal -Bond held by the City be accepted on rsoommandation
of Mumford,Cbm, of the Finance Committee.
It was voted on motion of Bollman, seconded by Mumford, that th ounoil adjourn.

The dounoil met in regular session -with Mayor Miller, presiding, Councilman,Bollman, lamford,
Oakes, and Rowland,present, and Kimbrough and Westoott absent.
The resignation of E.M.Cory, as Fire- Chief, was presented.It was voted on motion o
Oakes, seconded by Rowland, that the same be accepted.
The Mayor announced the appoint meat of H.O.Oillette as Fire whisf. It was voted of m
motion
of Mu-ford, seconded by Oakes, that the same be confirmed.
The following Resolution by Mamford,was presneted.
Whereas, John A.Bakor, has served the Citizens of Caldwell in the office of Chief-
Police for the past six geare,and,

Whereas,. during said period he has discharged the duties of the office efficientl3 and
conscientiously, and has rendered valuableservioes to the attizene of Caldwell, and,
Whereas, he has fauna it necessary to tender hoe resignation of the said office,
Now,TherBfore, be It resolved by the Mayor and CLunoil of the City of Caldwell, hat a
feeling of appreciation and expression of thanks for services well performed be extended to
MT.John A.Baker, as retiring Chief -of. police, of the City of Caldwell.
