Councilman Forbes stated that the bridge on Tenth ;:venue should be widened as,
In. its present condition, it was'a menace to the safety of the traveling public.
It was voted upon motion of Ackley that the City Engineer be instructed to
submit estimates of the cost of widening this bridge.
It was suggested that the City �hgineer submit estimates on a permament
and also on a piling bridge.
The Mayor stated that it had been suggested to him that the Council room on
the ground floor of the City Hall be made into a rest room for the ladies and children
and that the Council meetings and Court be held on the third floor. He stated that the
Commercial Club and Forward Club were willing to provide the necessary furniture for the
rest room.
It was voted upon motion of Forbes that the Mayor appoint a committee of two
o meet with the clubs and ascertain their views in the matter.
The Mayor appointed Hayman and Ackley.
No further business appearing before the meeting it was voted upon motion of
that Council adjoin.

Council meet in regular session, with Idayor Fred C. Boyes, presiding, Council-
men present,'Ackley, Forbes, Harrington and Hayman, S. Ben Dunlap, Clerk, when the
following business was transacted&
Yrs. S. id. Hurtt and ISrs. Frank Breshears, representing the Ladies ;iid of
Babtist Church, presented a petition for permission to ereot an eating tent within
fire limits.
It was voted upon motion of Forbes that the petition be referred to the
Fire Committee.
The minutes of the sessions held during the month of June, 1916, were read
it was voted upon motion of Harrington that the same be approved.
'The following bills which had been o.k'd by the Finance Committee, wore read
it was voted upon motion of Harrington that the same be allowed and warrants be
red drawn on the vax•ious funds in payment of the same as follows:

for water Department, were referred to the Pinance Corm-A tteo for further consideration.
The report; of the following officers for the month of June, 1916, were
read. City LngineQr, Superintendert of ',ater forks, city Clerh, Zo-ton, Police ledge,
City Librarian and Superintendent of Streets. The semi - annual report and irvontory of
the Fire Chief for the term ending June 3o, 1916, was also read.
It was voted upon motion of Ha :man that the reports of the Supt of 'dlater
"forks, Clerk, Sexton, Police Judge, Librarian and Supt of Streets be approved and that
the reports of the City Engineer and lire Chief be approved except as to the
recommendations made therein.
The following insurance policies insuring the City Hall for three years
from July 9, 1916, each in the sum ",1,000.00, and oarrying a premium of "20.00 each,
were presented.

It was voted upon motion of Harrington that the policies be refused and

depreciation fund and apportioning thereto money derived from tLe operation of the City
Water Works Department and defining the purpose of said hand ", was read for the first
