COUNCIL CHAMBERS, JULY 2nd, 1934. 8: P. M. The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Room of the City Hall, with the 1olloVing Councilmen present: Edgar L. Oakes, C. E. Bales, W. S. Boynton, G. W. Montgomery, G. M. Fenrich and W. R. Hollingsworth. Absent Mayor E. L. Vassar.. Due to the absence of the Mayor, Councilman Edgar L. Oakes, as President of the Council-presided. The Minutes of June 4th, 7th, and 25th, were read and approved as read. Mr. John Smeed and Mr. F. L. Crews representing the Elkes Drill Teem, appeared and asked the Council to consider street space for a carnival. Motion by Hollingsworth, seconded by Fenrich that the Mayor appoint a committee, with' power to act, to work with the Lodge committee. Motion carried. The Mayor appointed Hollingsworth, Boynton, the City ,Attorney and the City Engineer. The Bills for June "read and on motion made by Bales, seconded by Boynton that these bills be allowed -and Warrants bw. ordered drawn for the various amounts all of which had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee.
