agreement authorizing the purchase of the Williams building for a ,Oli.ce station.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Eldredge,
seconded by C- neilmanSmith that Council recess to meet June 26, 1961. Motion carried.

A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC MEETING FOR MONDAY, JULY 10, 1961, AT 8:00 O'CLOCK P.M.. IN THE
CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, FOR THE PURPOSE OF GRANTING A PUBLIC HEARING PURSUANT TO SECTION 50 -1917, IDAHO
CODE, BEFORE THEAPPROPRIATION BILL PROVIDED FOR IN SAID SECTION SHALL BE PASSED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CALMELL, IDAHO: A CORY OF THE ESTIMATE OF THE PROPOSED APPROPRIATION BILL BEING FULLY SET
FORRTH AT LENGTH UPON THE MINUTES OF SP3CIA1 MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF CALDWELL,
IDAHO, HELD ON JUNE 26, 1961; THE SAID LEVY FOR GENERAL LEVY PURPOSES BEING IN EXCESS OF TEN MILLS.
WHEREAS, at a special meeting of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, held
on the 26th day of June, 1961, an estimate of probable amount of money necessary for all ourposes to be
raised in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, during the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1961, and ending December
31, 1961: itemizing and classifying the different objects and branches of expenditures as near as may be,
with the statement of the entire re,enue of said city for the previous year, was submitted to the said
Mayor and City Council by the Finance Committee and which said ^stim -te was entered a t length upon the
Minutes of said meeting of the Mayor and City Council; and
WHEREAS, said Mayor and City Council desire that proper resolution be drawn granting and fixing
the time for a public meeting for hearing protests against said proposed appropriation bill and give due
notice thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLBEL by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. That the Mayor and City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, have determined that
it will require a tax levy for general r_e„enue purposes inexcess of ten mills to raise sufficient money for
general purposes as orovided by law for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1961, and ending December 31,
1961, and is more fully shown by the estimate of expenditures of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
SECTION 2. That before the nassave of said a poropriation bill and before said levy be made, a
public hearing be - granted, and that said public hearing upon said astimate;.and proposed appropriation bill
is hereby called and orde ed to be held at the City Hall of said City at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P. M. on
10th day of J 1961.
Section 3. That notice of said meeting and public hearing shall be given by at least two publi-
cations in the News - Tribune, a daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, which
said n-t.ice shall be printed in the Friday issues thereof on June 30, and July 7, 1961; which said notice
shall be substantially in the following form:

The City Council and Mayor of the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, having determined at a
meeting duly and regularly called and held in the City of Caldw ll, Idaho, on the 26th day of June, 1961,
that said City will require a tax levy for general mirrnoses, as provided by law''. for the fiscal year begin-
ning May 1, 1961; sod as fully setout in th, estimate of expenditures of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, for
the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1961, duly adopted, passed and approved by the Mayor and Council at said
meeting, held on said date, and said Mayor and Council having determined at said meeting that it will be
necessary to pass an appropriation bill appropriating in excess of ten mills for general purposes of said
City for said fiscal year.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That a public meeting and hearing is hereby granted on said appropriation
bill to be held at the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock
P. M. on the 10th day of July, 1961.
For further detailed information concerning the said proposed appropriation bill, reference is
hereby made to the said estimate of expenditures heneonabove referred to and -ully setforth in the minutes
of the Mayor and Council o" said City on the 26th day of June, 1961.

Section h. That said Notice shall be the :same as hereby ordered and that the City Clerk of the
City of Caldwell, Idaho, is hereby ordered, authorized and directed to cause said notice to be published as
hereinbefore mentioned and procure proof of said publication.

Thersunon the Mayor announced the motion carried and the Resolution adopted.
It was unanimously agreed by the Council to hold the regular meeting for July on the 5th.
Mayor Simmerman informed the Council a meeting would be held with the Highway Board about the 15th
land all Councilmen should be present.
City Engineer reported the Troy Laundry has requested permission to change the drive -in to their
11 pay : indow.
This was referred to the City Engineer with a report back to Council.
There being no further business t.? come Wore the Council it was moved by Councilman Smith,
seconded by Councilman Eldredge that Council adjourn. Motion carried.
