There being no further business to come before the Council, it was moved by Councilman Carpenter,
seconded by Councilman Davenport that the meeting adjourn. A vote was taken and the motion unanimously
carried.
The meeting adjourned at 9:45 P. M.

Upon Roll Call, the following Councilmen answered preeent: E. L. Vassar, James W. "Bill" Keys,

Mayor Smith explained the desire for expediency in considering the vacation of a portion of an
_ alley as applied for by the General Services Administration and the matter of an error in legal description
in the Easement prepared for the City by the General Services Administration with the latter presently being
corrected by the City Attorney.
Thereupnn, Councilman Vassar introduced Bill No. 10, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE GIVING NOTICE TO ALL CITIZENS OF AND avNERS OF RIOPERTY IN THE CITY OF CALDWELL, AN APPLICATION
HAS BEEN PRESENTED FOR THE VACATION OF THE SOUTHEASTERLY 150T OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 5, AS UNNSERED AND
DESIGNATED ON THE REVISED MAP OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, FILED JULY 29, 1891, AT 3:00 O'CLOCK P. M. AND NOW OF
RECORD IN BOOK 1 OF PLATS, PAGE 20, RECORDS OF CANYON COUNTY, IDAHO; PROVIDING FOR FILING OBJECTIONS THERETO
AND FOR FILTNG CLATMS FOR DAMAGES SUSTAINED THEREBY; PROVIDING FOR ASCERTAINING SUCH DAMAGES FOR THE MAYOR
AND COUNCIL OF THF. CITY OF CALMMLL; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PHBLICATIOIJ OF THIS ORDINANCE.
ich was read for the first time and the Council proceeded to consideration of Bill No. 10. It was moved by
Councilman Vassar, seconded by Councilman Davenport that the rules requiring the reading of a Bill on three
separate days be suspended and that Bill No. 10 be read the second time by title and the third time in Hill,
section by section. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above motion with the following
result: Those voting in the affirmative were, Vassar, Keys, Martin, Carpenter, and Davenport. Negative
votess none. Absent and not voting: Luby. The Mayor declared the motion had passed by the necessary
three- fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read Bill No. 10 the second time by title and the third time
in full, section by section. The Clerk read the Bill as directed. It was moved by Councilman Vassar,
seconded by Councilman Carpenter that Bill No. IC pass. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the

Carpenter, and Davenport. Negative votes: none. Absent and not voting: Luhy. Thereupon, the Mayor
declared Bill No. 10 had passed and the Mayor in open session of the Council duly signed and approved the Bi
and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same which became Ordinance No. 1030.
The Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinance No. 1030 to be
published in the News - Tribune, the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
Council Representative to County -sties Cooperative Civil Defense appointed
Mayor Smith appointed Councilman James W. "Bill" Keys as the Council Representative to County - Cities
Cooperative Civil Defense.
It was moved by Councilman Davenport, seconded by Councilman Keys that the meeting adjourn. A vote
taken and the motion unanimously carried.
