On motion of Dickens and seconded by Vassar the Couuoil stood adjourned.
COUNCIL CHAMBERS, JUNE 24, 1931
6 P. M.
The City Council met persuent to a call by the Mayor with Mayor Fred L. Lilly
paesiding.
On roll call of the Councilmen, the following answered present: Sandmeyer, Keister,
Bales, Dickens and Johnson. Absent Vassar.
The purpose of the meeting was to open the bids presented for the purpose of oiligg
approximately 72,000 sq. yards of streets in Local Improvement Districts Nos. 12 and 13.
Two bids were received , opened and read as follows:
Morrison— Knudsen Co. bfBoise bid 28 cents per Square Yard or a 'total of 8 20
The Idaho Contracting Co. of Boise bid 32 cents per Square Yard or a total of
$ 23,040.00.'
E. L. Vassar came into the meeting at this time and was marked present.
Motion made by'Sandmeyer and seconded by Dickens that the above bids be taken
under advisement until further meeting ofthe Council. Motion carried.
Mr. Shaver representing the Idaho Contracting Oo and Mr. Olsen representing the
Morrison— Knudsen Co consented that the checks tendered as per bids be retained by the
Council until such'time as matter was definitely settled.
On motion properly made and seconded the meeting stood adjourned.

The Oity Council met in Regular Monthly meeting, with Mayor Fred L. Lilly presiding.
on Roll Call of Coanoi3.men, the following answered present: M. S. Sandmeyer , A. G.
Keister, E. L. Vassar and Joe Dickens, Absent 0. M. Johnston and 0. E. Baas.
A Committee from the Forward Club, composed of lire Carrie Steunenberg, Mrs John
Cupples and Mrs Anoil Steunenberg, appeared before the Council and asked that the Council
Memorial
donate the a= of 4 50.00 on a swung for the ifildffvmm Park.
Moved by sandmeyer and seconded by Dickens that the request of the above committee
be granted and that when the owing is ready for installation that this City Council give
the sum of 4 50.00. Motion Carried.
The Clerk read the Minutes for June 1st., June 8th., June 15th., and June 24th.
on motion made by Vassar and seconded by Dickens the above Minutes were approved.
The June bills were read and on motion made by Dickens and seconded by Keister these
bills were allowed and Warrants were ordered drawn for the various amounts, all Of which
had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee, as follows:
