The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to receive and open bids for meter boxes, rin.zs and covers, also,brass fittings and couplingsfor meter services. The following bids were received, opened and read: 200 water meter boxes rings and covers. Upon Roll Call it apoeared the motion was unanimously carried. The following bids were received, opened and read: Brass fittings and coupling *,s. laterworks Supply 2350.35 Waterworks Equipment 2472.98 Moved by Smith, seconded by Finley the City accept the bid of Waterworks Supply. Upon Roll Call it apoeared the motion was unanimously carried. Second reading of Dog Leash Bill. This being the time set for the sec,�nd reading of Bill No. No. 1, the Mayor instructed the Clerl: to read Bill Nol 1, by title. Closing City offices July 3 and 4 was discussed by the Council. Wherennon it was moved by Finley, seconded by Smith City offices be closed July 3 and h. Unon Roll Call it nnneared the motion was unanimously carried. The Sewer Committee, presented the Assessment Roll of Local Improvement District No 46, to the Mayor and Council. Thereupon the following Resolution was presented by Councilman Eldredge who moved the adoption thereof, which motion was seconded by Councilman Vassar. RESOLUTION BY COUNCILMAN ELDR MliE. Absent and not voting: Luby and Eldredge. i Thereunon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted. The Committee appointed b- the Mayor to make a study of the City's insurance coverage reported to the Council the Cite was under insured and recovnended the blanket insurance be increased $1!,0,000, $15,000 to be given the A. I.Myers Insurance Co, and the balance to the Caldwell Association of Insurance Agents. Moved by Vassar, sec -nded by Smith the City accent the recommendations of the Insurance Committee. Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried, The matter of transportation for the Mayor was discussed. Councilman Vassar recommended the City allow -U50 per month for use of Mayor Simmerman's car and ° f350 per month for incidental expenses. It was unanimously agreed by the Council no action be taken on this until all Council members were present. There being no further business to came before the Council it was moved by 6ouncilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Shorb that Council adjourn. Motion carried. I7aror. City Clerk. The Mayor stated the meeting was called to discuss the 1959 -1960 budget and a proposed salary schedule. Thereupon the Council proceeded to study the nronosed budget and the salary schedule. No action was taken at this time. There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Shore that Council adjourn.
