On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present; John Finok, F.E. Newman, 0. L. Thornock, J.P.andall Sloop. Absent; Pete Clasen and E.E.Frasher. The Mayor announced the following appointmentsto be guards at the Airport; John Ineker, Harold Burleson, Lionel Schurtleff, Barney Gaul, W. TT. McWilliams, (In connection with the appointment of Mr. McWilliams it was announced that he would receive his salary from the City) Moved by $loop, seconded by Newman that these appointments be confirmed. Motion }carried. The Mayor announced the appointment of EARL BARTLETT to be PATROLMAN on the POLICE FORCE. Ioarried. Moved by Notman, seconded by Pinch 'that this appointment be confirmed. Motion Councilman Clasen entered and was marked present. Moved by Clasen, seconded by Finck that adjustments be made in wages of certain 8ity Eftloyeas and that t' -e City Attorney be authorised to draw an Ordinance providing for a 5 percent increase in salaries of all City Employees. Mr. Earl Van Deventer appeared and requested that the Mayor and Council investiga the disposal of gar::age hauled by the City Garbage Collector. The Mayor informed Mr. VanDeventer that this matter would be investigated. Motion carried. Moved by Clasen, a econded by Finck that the City Clerk be authori to charge off the Water Ledger the following uncollectable bills. Mooed by Finck, s econded by Olesen that thb resignation of Mr, Ewing as Police Judge.be accepted. Motion carried. Moved by Clasen, seconded by Thornock that the salary of Police Judge be raised to 00.00 per month, also, that the City Attorney be authorised to include this in the salary ordinance. Motion carried. The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City Hall with the Mayor, Thurlow Bryant presiding. on Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Pete Clasen, John Finck, F. E. Newman, 0. L. Thornook, J.Randall S Absent= E.E. Fresher. The Minutes of June 7th., 14th., and 21st., were read and a pproved as read. The Mayor announced the appointment of F. W. ARN01D to be POLICE JUDGE. Whereupon Councilman Olesen moved that the appointment be confirmed, which was seconded by Councilman Finck.. Motion carried. The Sills for June wore read and on Motion by Sloop, seconded by Oleeen that then Sills be allowed and - Warrants be drawn for, the various.amounts all of which had been ap— proved by the Chairman of the Finance Commottse.
