The Council met pursuant to recess and acknowledgment of notice in the following form:

We, the undersigned Mayor and Members of he 'ity Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, do each
hereby acknowledge notice of a special meeting of the said City Council, to be beld in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall in the City of C aldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P. M. on the 20th day of June
1961, for transaction of all business in connection with the following object-. New and unfinished business,

June 15, 1961
The Chamber of Commerce would like to request permission to ship into Caldwell fireworks
for the 1961 Fourth of July fireworks display.
We would also like to request at th time to put on the Fourth of July fireworks dis-
play to be held on the Municipal Golf Course as it has in the past. This display will be
properly surpervised by theable Fire Chief, and every measure of precaution will be taken.

the city departments durin the last Sprits 0 -Rama. The Snrinp- Spring -O -Rama was a tremendous
success and the cooperation of all the people working 4cintly made it so and has made this
a splendid community effnrt.

This being the time set for the third reading of bill No 1, the Mayor instructed the Clerk to

read Bill No 1, in full section by section and placed on the final passage. The Clerk read the Hill as

the above question which resulted as follows: Those voting in the affirmative were: Vassar, Smith, Luby,
Shorb and Eldredge. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: Bates.

Councilman Eldredge, seconded by Councilman Smith that the rules requiring that the reading of a Bill on
three separate days be suspended and that Bill No. 2, be read the second time by title and the third time

Agreement (Police Statinn)
Moved by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Eldredge the City Attorney be instructed to
agreement vithorizing the purchase of the Williams building for a police station.
Upon Roll Call it aooeared the motion was unanimously carried.
There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Eldredge,
seconded by C^incilmanSmith that Council recess to meet June 26, 1961. Motion carried.
