On Roll Call the fo5lwing Councilmen answered present: W.F. Bgbcock, C. 0. Me D ° Oscar Stengel, W.B. Fandford, G. M. ?enrich and M.S.Sandmeyer. The Mayor stated that the object of the meeting was to open the bids for a Flushe nd Sprinkler, 011 Distributer -and Roller. 1 The follovrinv bids were filed with the City Clerk and opened in the Council tdeet- ing pursuant to a call for bids. Co., Mack Truck The Mayor appointed Councilmen W.E.Babcock, Road Committee and City Engineer to check the bits filed and report back to the Council. t Thereupon the following Resolution was presented to the Mayor and Council by Councilman Sandmeyer who moved the adoption thereof which motion was duly seconded by Councilman Handford. I RESOLUTION By Sandmeyer. A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE ERADICATION OF NOXIOUS WMrD3019 THE STREETS, ALLEYS, AND OTHER PROPTRTY BFLONGING TO THE CITY OF CALD"F;T.L, IDAHO. - WHEREAS, The Commissioners of Canyon County, Idaho have designated Canyon County as a noxious area, and !.IMREAS, It is deemed advisable and to the best interest of the City of Caldwell. to eradic.,te noxious weedson the streets, alleys end other property belonging to the said ;ity, and I� 0�3 LI !.TRREAS, The said Commissioners of Canyon County are desirous that the City of Caldwell cooperate in the eradication of said wee&s by said City paying for Fifty per cent (50 %) of the chemicals used in the eradication of said noxious weeds and by said City,pa7p Rr day ing Two Dollars( .00) /fwr the use of a truck and trailer and by providing for the gas and oil used by said truck. A Yea and.Nay vote was had thereon, with the following results; Yes; Babcock, McD Stengel, Handford, Fenrich and Sandmeyer. No. None. Aboant and not voting. None. This matter was referred to Councilman Fenrich. There being•no further business tocome before the Council, it was, on motion duly seconded and carried,- declared adjourned. Oakes, presiding. on Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present, w.E.Babcock, C. 0. Me- D Osear Stengel, W.B. Handford, C. 1.1. Fenrich and M.S. Sandmeyer. The Council proceeded to consider the annual appropriation matters. Thereupon Councilman Handford, presented the following REsolution and moved the adoption thereof, which motionrms duly s ccorded by Councilman Babcock. RES OLTTTI ON. BY Handford. BE IT RESOLVED, that the following is anestimate of the expenditures of the City of C for the fiscal year 1939 -1940, and that the following be, and is, hereby a- dopted, and the following is an estimate prepared by the ?.layer and City Council of the Cit of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, for the probable amount of money necessary for all pur- poses to be raised by taxation in the City during the year beginning the 1st., day of May 1939, including principal and interest due on bonded indebtedness and sinking funds, itemizing a nd classifying the s everal branches of a xpenditures as nearly as may be, to-wit- For the City Hall, including salaries maintenance and operation------ - - - - -- 1,600.00
