Council met in regular session pursuant to ad- journment with Mayor Griffiths, presiding, and Councilmen Adam, Adams, Bardsley, Stunenberg, Walker Ze1, present; C. J. Shorb, Clerk. Voted, on omotion of Bardsley, that the bids for fire apparatus be opened and considered. Four bids had been filed in accordance with the call, as followas American La Drance Fire Engine Co., $9,150, f.o.b. Caldwell. Knox Automobile Co_ $8,500 f.o.b. eactory. Webb Motor Fire Apparatus Co., $8,950 f.o.b. Caldwell. Victor Motor Truck, Cc, $7,700 f.o.b. factory. Voted, on motion of Zeh that the fire apparatus bids be taken under con- sideration until Wednesday night. Voted, on motion of Adams, that bids for cement crossings be opened and con- sidered. Four bide had been filed in accordance with call, as followst Terry & Glenn, $33 per crosswalk and 45 cents per yard for fills. Calkins & Bingham, $32.50 per cross walk. W. A. McGee, $5 per crossing complete. R. K. Beaty,$38 per crossing. Voted, on motion of Zeh, that the bids for cement crossings be referred to the street committee with authority to accept lowest and best bid, A.T. Plummer appeared before the council asking permission to run a pea- nut and popcorn stand on the streets. Voted, on motion of Zeh, that the matter be referred to the street committee. Voted, on motion of Zeh, that a claim in the sum of 938,45 be presented to the Pioneer Irrigation District eor their share of the expense for constructing a syphon across Cleveland boulevard at Ninth Avenue. Voted, on motion of Bardsley, that council ad;ourn until Wednesday, June 19, 1912, at e p.m. Q d Wednesday, June 19, 1912. Council met in regular session pursuant to adjourn - went with president of the Council Zeh, presiding, and Councilmen Adam, Adams, Bardsley, 9tunenberg, Walker, present; Shorb, Clerk. Whereupon the Council proceeded to the consideration of ite fire apparatus bids. Voted, on motion of Adams, that the council go into executive session. The fire committee then made a verbal report stating that after the thorough examitation of the machines proposed it had come to the conclusion that the Webb machine was the beet presented and recommended its purchase, provided that it meets with the requirements of the fire underwriters test. A motion was then made by Stunenberg the report of that fire committee be accepted and approved and that the proper officers be instructed to enter into a Con- tract with the Hebb Fire Apparatus Co. of St.Louie, Mo. for the machine as given in Its plans and specifications, subject to he proviso of the fire committee, The roll being called on the motion, the voet resulted) F. �d T Ayes- Adam, Adams, Barelsey, Stunenberg, Walker, Zeh. -6. Voted, on motion pf Bardleey, that the claim of Hagerman be allowed in the sum of 424.50, 422.50 on the road fund for prisoners meals and $2.00 on the general P nd for bread. Voted, on motion of Adam, that the street committee be authorized to have sprinkling cranes be put in at convenient places, for the better efficiency of the et eet sprinkling departmdnt. Voted, on motion of Walker, that the claim of W. 0. Lesley in the sum of 0165.10 be allowed. 150.70 on Road fund for crossings and 14.40 on the general fund —J for sidewalk. Voted, on motion of Stunenberg that the council adjourn. I I!
