Application for Card Room License was read from Caldwell Sport Shop, Inc., the fee accompanying
the application.

Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
Application for eight Slot Machine Licenses was readfrom the Caldwell Sport Shop, Inc., the fee
accompanying the application.
Moved by Myers, seconded by Fenrich that these licenses be (ranted.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion visa unanimously carried.

RESOLUTION. 9
By Councilman Harding.
Upon motion by Fenrich, seconded by Myers, the following Resolution was proposed.
BE IT RESOLVED, that Fifth Street from Highway 30, to Cleveland Blvd, be designated a truck
route and that stop signs be placed on Fifth Street at Main, Arthur and Blaine Streets making Fifth Street C
a through street from Highway 30, to Cleveland Blvd.
Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirmative were: Mae )n, Glaisyer, Burrell, r1yere, Fenrich

and Harding. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: .None.
Thereupon the Acting Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted
Thereupon Councilman Glaisyer, introduced Bill No L, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO HEALTH AND SANITATION; PROVIDINO FOR THE FSTABLISHENT, MAINTENANCE, AND
OPERATION OF A UNIVERSAL COWULSORY SYSTEM OF GARBAGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING PENALTIES.
which was read for the first time and the Council proceeded to a consideration of Bill No L. It was moved by
Councilman Harding, seconded by Councilman Burrell that the rules requiring that the reading of a Bill on
three separate days be suspended and Bill No 4, be read the second time by title and the third time in full
section by section and placed on the final passage. Th Acting mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll

on the above motion with the following results Those voting in the affirmative wares Mason,Glaisyer,
11, Myers, Fenrich and 'larding. Negatives None, Absent and not voting: None. The Acting Mayor

declared the motion had passed by the necessary three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read Bill

Thereupon the Acting Mayor declared Bill No 4p-had passed and the Acting Mayor in open session of
the Council duly signed and approved the Bill, and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same which became
Ordinance No 724. The Acting Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinanc
No 724 to be, published in the Caldwell News- Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
Thereupon the Councilman Fenrich introduced Bill No 51 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-303, CALD^.'ELL CODE OF 1942, AS AMENDED k ORDINANCES�NO3: 519, 605,
AND 666 OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHOI CHANGING THE ANNUAL PERIOD FOR BEER LICENSES FROM THE 1ST DAY OF
JULY EACH YEAR TO EXPIRE AT MIDNIGHT ON THE 30TH DAY OF JUNE THE FOLLOWINGjYEAR TO rBE 18T DAY OF JANUARY
EA8H YEAR TO EXPIRE AT MIDNIGHT ON THE 31ST DAY OF DECEMBER FOLLOWINOf AND IN QRDER TO MAKE SUCH CHANGE,
PROVIDING FURTHER FOR A HALF -YEAR LICENSE FROM THE 1ST DAY OF JULY, 1948, TO EXPIRE AT MIDNIGHT ON THE 31ST
DAY OF DECEMBER, 1948.

Thereupon the Acting Mayor declared Bill No 5, had passed and the Acting Mayor in openeession of
the Council duly signed and approved the Bill, and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same which became
Ordinance No 725. The Acting Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and cause Ordinance I I
No 725 to be, published in the Caldwell News - Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
There being no further business to come before the Council it was mobed by Councilma Fenrich,
seconded by Councilman Harding that Council adjourn. Motion carried. �

CALL AND ACKNOLEDGEMENT OF NOTICE
We, the undersigned Acting Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho,
do each hereby acknowledge notice of a special meeting of said City Council to be held at the Council
Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 5sCO o'clock P. M. on the 21st,
day of June, 1948 for the transaction of all business in connection with the following object. Notice
calling for bids on garbage contract, applications for slot machine and beer licensee, which object
was submitted to each of the undersigned in writing.
