C t The following ordinance was introduced in written form by Oouncilman Mason, and was read by title. Councilman Herding moved that the rule requiring the reading of the ordinance three different days be dispensed with, and the motion was adopted by the following voter Ayet Mason, Glaisyer, Burrell, Nayera, Fenrich and Harding. Nay; None. The ordinance was thereupon again read by title and was read in full after which, pursuant to ipotion made by Myers, the ordinance was adopted by the following vote: Aye: Mason, Glaisyer, Burrell, Myers, Fenrich and herding. Nay: None. The ordinance was thereupon signed by.the Mayor in evidence of his approval, was attested by the City Clerk, was numbered Bill No ),Ordinance No 705, entitled: By Councilman Mason. The Council met pursuant to Call and Acknowledgement of Notice In the following form: CALL AND ACKNO WLEDGEMENT OF NOTICE II 4!e the undersigned, Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, do each hereby acknowledge notice of a special meeting of said City Council to be held at the Council Chambers in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 8400 P. M., on the 16th day of June, 1947, for the transaction' of all business in connection with the following object: Considering applications for Punch Board Licenses and the first reading of Bill No 4, which object has been submitted to each a undersigned in writing. Plowhead, Joss L. Smith, Sport Shop. Signal Drive Inn, The Tavern, Rummy House, Whittle Pharmacy. Moved by Burrell, seconded by Mason that these licensee be granted. Motion ®cried. CLAUSSEN ASSISTANT ENGINEER ROBERT MOORE PATROLIW1 ON THE POLICE FORCE Moved by Glaisyer, seconded by Burrell that these appointments be confirmed. On Roll Call it appeared the notion was unanimously carried. Martin Olson, Jr., was present and discussed with the Mayor and Council the 1947-19h8 Budget. FILING OBJECTIONS THERETO Ai D FOR FILING CLAIMS FOR DAMAGES SUSTAINED THEREBY; PROVIDING FOR ASCERTAINING SUCH DiLkWiES BY THE MAYOR AND CJUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CiLLDI,TELL; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDIANCEt which was read for the first time and the Counci.i proceeded to a consideration of Dill No 5. It was moved by Councilman Glaisyer, seconded by Councilmen Mason that the rules requiring that the reading of a Bill on three days be suspednded and Bill No 5, be read the second time by title and the third time in full section by section and placed on the final passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the I above motion with the following results Those voting in the viiirmative were: Mason, Glaisyer, Ayers, Fenrich, Harding. Negative- None. Absent and not votingt Burrell. The Mayor declared the motion had passed by the necessary three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read Bill No 5, the second time by title and the third time in full.section by section.
