COUNCIL CHAMBERS
June 16, 1930
8:00 o'clock p.m.

Oounoil'met in adjourned session pursuant to adjournment of June 2
1930, with Mayor KoConnel presiding, and Councilmen Bollman, Dickens, Gordon,
Jchns, mighty and Sandmeyer present. Absent, None.
Owing th the absence of the City Clerk the Mayor appointed Mr. W.O.
Dyes Acting Clerk, and announced that the Counoil was in session for the considers -
tion of any business which might'lawfally oome before it.
` The Counoil considired the matter of the well now being drilled at
Memorial Park by Allen N. Hosaok and discussed the present flow of water which had
been obtained, it was moved by Johns and seconded by &eighty that Allen S.
Hosaok•be• instructed to case the well to a depth of approximately 600 feet, or
fhvriher,' if necessary to get a good flow. Motion carried.
Those voting in the negative, None. Absent and not voting: Bone. The Mayor
declared the motion had..carried by the necessary three - fourths majority and direct-
ed the Clerk to read Bill No. 14, the second time by title and'the thibd time in
fall`seotion'by section. The Clerk read,the bill as directed., on the question
as put by the Mayor, "Shall Bill No, 14 pass?' the Mayor directed the Olsrk to call
the roll with the following results. Those voting in the affirmative: Bollman,
Dickens, Gordon, Johns, Leighty and Sandmeyer. Those voting in the negative: none.
Absent and not voting: None. Thereupon the Mayor declared Bill No. 14 passed, and
In open session of the Council the Mayor duly eigned and approved said bill and the
Clerk duly attested the same, which thereupon became ordinance No. 481. The Mayor
directed the Clerk to make the proper entry of the passage of the Ordinanoe upon
the journal of the proceedings of the Council as part of the minutes of this meet-
ing and further directed the Clerk to cause ordinance No. 481 to be published in
the Oftdwall Newa- Tribune, the official Bewspaper of the City of Caldwell.

to Vaoonvene at the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in the City of Caldwell,
on Monday. June 16, 1930, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. °Thereupon the Council adjourned

. Thereupon, motion was made by Bollman, seconded by Dickens that further
oc"idergtion of the bid of H. J. MoNeel for performing labor, fu.iroiehifig materials
and „oonstraoting the works proposed to be oonstrueted in Local Street Improvement
District No. S. of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, be continuad'to the meeting of
the Mayor and Council to be held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall', in the
City of Caldwell, June 18, 1930 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. Those voting in the affirms -
tive: Bollman, Dickens, Gordon, Johns, Leighty and Sandmeyer. Those voting in
the negative: None. Absent and not voting: Bone. Thereupon,'the Mayor
deolared the motion carried.

Motion by Sandmeyer, Seconded by Bollman that painting of

be awarded to lowest bid which was that of Roy Eased for $126.00. Motion carried.
Thereupon it was mooed by Leighty and seconded by Johns that the Council
adjourn to reconvene at the Council Chambers, in the City Hall, -in the City of
Caldwell, on Wednesday. June 18th, 1930, at 8:00 p.m. Motion carried.

Thereupon the Council adjourned pursuant to the foregoing motion.

, Owing to the absence of the City Clerk the Mayor appointed Mr. W. 0.
Dyer Acting Clerk, and announced that the Council was in session for the ooneder9-
tiom of any business which might lawfully come before it.
Mr. R. E. Wagner, appeared before the Council and requested that his
ooatraot for the hauling of garbage be extended for five years from the expiration
of the present contract. Mr, Wagner was instructed to prepare a form of contract

and,praaamt to the Council for consideration.
_ Mr. wyckoff appeared before the Oounoil and solicited the contract for
the painting of the city water tanks, After discussing the matter it was laid
aside without notion.
