COUNCIL CHAYMR, JUNE 16, 1927.
Council met in regular sessinn June 16, 1927 at 2:00 P. M. persuant to adjour
want, with Mayor Dunlap presiding end the following Councilmen present; Davis, Dutton,
Hoffman, Jackson and Mumford. Absent, L+IoOonnel.
The committee appointed to inspect Local Improvement District No. 5, reported
that the work had been completed, and that they had found it satisfactory.
It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by Hoffman, that a %vattant be ord
drawn in favor of Calvert, Calvert & Schroeder on Local Improvement District Ile. 5, in
the sum of ,x25,555.83, as final settlement of contract for said distriot.
June 30, 1927 was designated as "Clean -up -day ", and that due notice be given
thereof.
It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by Hoffman, that Oouncil adjourn
to June 20, 1927 at 8;00 27 M.

COUNCIL CHAMBER, JUNE 20, 1927.
Council met in regular session persuant to adjournment June 20, 1927, with
Mayor Dunlap presiding and the following members present; DAVIS, DUTTON, HOF74A1I,
JACKSON, MCCONT_IEL AND =FORD: ABSENT NONE.
W. Gran$.Ward appeared before the Council and asked that definite measures
be taken in order to deliver him water for irrigation purposes. Councilmen MoOonnel
explained that everything possible was being done to that end, and he thought within
a very short time that water would be delivered to property owners in that section.
This being the date set for opening bids for the purchase of 600 ft, of Fire
Hose. The Clerk read bids from the following; Fabric Fire Hose Co., Eureka Fire
Hose Mfg. Co. and American Rubber Qo. After considering all the bids a motion was
made by Hoffman, seconded by McQonnel, that the Council accept the bid of the Eureka
Fire Hose Mfg. Co. for 800 ft. "Red gross" 2 ply Hose C 01.30 per foot. The Mayor
directed the Clerk to call the roll with the following results.
AYES: HOFMAN, MCCONNEL A14D I.RZ
NAYES: DAVIS, DUTTON, JACIt.90N AND MAYOR DUNLAP.
The Mayor declared the motion lost.
It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by Mumford, that the Council
Purchase 800 ft. ?'C$aokerjaok" Fire Hose C 01.15 per foot, as per bid from the American
Rubber Co., San Francisco, Calif.
It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by Mumford that Council adjourn t
June 27, 1927 at 8 :00 P. y.
