COUNCIL CAMBERS CITY OF CALDWELL JUNE 11, 1920-
Council met.in regular session pursuaO to adjournment with Councilman
Ward presiding; the follwwing Councilman were present;
Dunlap Fouling Hayman Moore and Sutton.
On motion Hayman seconded by Sutton it was decided to abide with
the Contract with.the Warren Construotion Co and not place drain pipes under the
gutters on Cleaveland Boulevard.
On motion Fouling seconded by Dunlap Elmer Garton was allowed time
for the week he was sick.
On motion Moore Council adjourned to June 16, 1

Council met in regular session pursuant toadjaurnment with Mayor Ward
presiding. Councilmen present; Dunlap, Fouling Hayman Moore and Sutton.
Mayor Ward appointed C J WeatoOtt Councilman from the second Ward to suooe
od # Jod Dickens resigned and on motion Sutton seconded by Fe cling same was
confirmed unanamously.
The Mayor appointed the Sewer and Water Committee and City Attorney
a committee to investigate the proposition of extending a sewer line to the
I 0 0 F Home.
In the matter of the Fire Hose used by the Warren Construction Cc
same was refferred to the Fire Committee and Chief of the Fire Department.
Motion was made by Dunlap and seconded by Fouling that the estimate of
Expenses as prepared by the City Council be aooepted and published as required
by Law.
The Council proceeded to canvass the returns of the Bond Election hi
June 16, with the follwing result.
First Question. Municipal Building
Bonds Yes. 392 Bonds No 289
Seoond Question Funding Bonds
Bonds Yes 274 Bonds No 247
The connoil thereupon declared that neither Bond issue had carried by
necessary two thirds.
The Mayor announced the appointment of C J Wcetcott ae member of the
Road Committee and on motionHayman same was confirmed.
Motion by Dunlap seconded by Feeling that City Cler advertise for
bids forthe sale of Bonde to the amount of $ 23500.00 for the purpose of Funding
the outstanding Warrant Indebetdnass of the City.
ORDINA30E NO #X 341 entitled an Ordinance creating and establishing
a local Improvement District to be called LOCAL STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO 4 in the city of Caldwell, Canyon Councy Idaho was read the first time
and on motion Sutton and seoonde. by Hayman that the rule requiring the reading

of an Ordinance be suspended and that the Ordinance be read the second time by
Title and the third time in full and placed on its final passage on the roll
being called on the motion the vote was Ayes
Dunlap Fouling Hayman Moore Sutton and Westoott.
The clerk thereupon read the ordinance the second time by Title and the tb@rd
time in full and the Mayor announced that the ordinance stood for final passage
and on the roll being called on the motion shall Ordinance pass the vote was;
Ayes Dunlap, Veuling Hayman Moore Sutton Westoott. The Mayor announced that
the Lotion had carried unanamously and the Cler was instructed to amke proper
entry and cause same to be published in the Caldwell News the official Newspaper
of the City of Cdldwell.
On motion Dunllp seconded by Sutton the City Cler was instructed to
call for Bide for the sale of Bonds for sewer Diet No 6 and
Paving District No 4 certified check for 5% of Bid it accompany same.
On motion Hayman seconded by Fouling the Clerk was also instructed to
call for bide for the construction of Paving Diet No 4
On motion Sutton Council adjourned to June 21et. 1920.

Council met in regular session pursuant to adjournment and in the
absence of Mayor Ward Councilman Dunlap presided. the roll wing Councilmen were
present; DunlpEf Fouling, Moore and Sutton. absent Westoott. / / o+mca✓
City Engineer Lockwood reported that the estimated cost of Sewer to Odd lb
Fellows Home would be about One thousand feet at a coat of about ;1.25 per foot
or about $1250.00 complete and recommended an 8' Tile.
Motion was made by Button and seconded by Fouling twat the City
construct said sewer and that the City Lagineartake charge of the construction.
Motion made by Fouling seconded by Button That the city Attorney be
instructed to draft Ordinance declaring the intention of the City of Caldwell to
organize a curbing District on Dearborn Street from let to 20th. street (n
Cleaveland from 7. to Aven Street on Albany from 8, to 12, on Belmont from 7,
to 12, and Chicago from B, to 12,
Motion by Moore and seconded by Fouling That City Engineer be inetructedb
to prepare estimate of coat of same and furnish to City Attorney and that he
be instructed to notify the Pioneer Irrigation District of the plan of such improtmnt.
On motion Sutton seconded by Moore the city Clerk was instnoted to call
for bide for the construction of sidewalk as ordered in.
The following resolution was presented by Councilman Sutton;
W HEREAS ; In the construction of the Drainage System by the Reclamation
Service and the Pioneer Irrigation District that portion of the Pioneer Irrigation
District within the limits of the City of Caldwell lying East of Indian Creek
was not provided with drainage contemplated and.
WHEREAS: The water logged condition of this said portion of the City is
