On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present; John Flock, F.E. Newman, 0. L. Thornock, J.P.andall Sloop. Absent; Pete Olesen and E.E.Frasher. The Mayor announced the following appointmentato be guards at the Airports carried. LI U John Tucker, Harold Burleson, Eionel $churtleff, Barney Goul, W, H. McWilliams, (In connection with the appointment of Mr. McWilliams it was announced that he would receive his salary from the City) Moved by $loop, seconded by Newman that these appointments be confirmed, Motion The Mayor announced the appointment of EARL BARTLEPT to be PATROLMAN on the POLICE FORCE. carrieA. Moved by Nec6mnn, secdnded by Finch 'that this appointment be confirmed. Motion Councilman Clasen entered and was marked present. Moved by Olesen, seconded by Finck that adjustments be made in wages of certain City Iftloyees and that t "e City Attorney be authorised to draw an Ordinance providing for a 5 percent increase in salaries of all City Employees. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Sloop, seconded by Newman that Council, adjourn. Motion carried. City Clerk. Mayor. Mr. Earl Van Deventer appeared and requested that the Mayor and Council investigal the disposal of gar'cage hauled by the City Garbage Collector. The Mayor informed Mr. VanDeyenter that this matter would be investigated. Motion carried. Moved by Clasen, seconded by rinck that the City Clerk be authori to charge off the Water Ledger the following uncollectable bills.
