Council met in regular session persuant to adjournment June 13, 1927 at 8:00 P.
with Mayor Dunpal presiding with the following Councilmen present, Davis, Vatton, Hoffman,
Jackson, Mo®onnel and Mumford.
It was voted on motion of Hoffman, seconded by Rumford that the Bonds of the
Treasurer, City Qlerk anf Chief of Police be accepted.
B. F. Brown appeared before the Ocuncil and asked that some Proviaton be made
whereby that he could get water for irrigation on his property situated in block 20, Wash.
Heights Addition, and the matter was refered to the - Irrigation Chairman and City Engineer.

M. FOR THE PURPOSE OF GRANTING A PUBLIC HEARING, BEFORE THE APPROPRIATION BILL PROVIDED" F
IN SECTION 4055 OF THE COMPILED STATUTES OF THE STATE OF IDAHO AND CHAPTER 168 OF THE
IDAHO SESSION-LAWS FOR 1927, SHALL BE PASSED BY THC MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL; A mOPY OF WHIC
SAID ESTIMATE. OF THE PROPOSED APPROPRIATION SILL I8 FULLY SET FOURTH AT LENGTH UPON THE
MINUTES OF THE REGULAR OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL HELD ON JUNE6, 1927; THE SAID LEVI
FOR GENERAL PURPOSES BEING IN EXCESS OF TEN MILLS.
WBAREAS; At a regular meeting of the City Gouncil of the City of Caldwell, held
on the 6th day of June, 1927, an estimate of the probable amount ofmoney necessary for all
purposes to be raised in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, during the fiscal year beginning
May 2nd, 1927; and ending the first Tuesday in Play, 1928, including principal and interest
due in the bonded debt'9nd sinking fund, it9mized and olasdifying the diferent objects
and branches of expenditure as near as may be, with a statement of the entire revenue of
the city or village for the previous year, was submitted to said Mayor and City Council
by the Finance Committee, and which said estimate was entered at length upon its minutes;
WHEREAS. Motion was duly made, seconded andcarried that proper resolution be dra
fixdng the time for public beeting for hearing protests against said proposed appropriatio

bill and giving /notice thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AfB COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL,
IDAHO:
Sectionl. That the Mayor and City Council of the City of Caldwell have deter-
mined that it will require a tax levy for general revenue purposes in excess of ten mills
to raise sufficient money for general purposes, as provided by law and as is more fully
shown by the estimate of expenditures of the City of Caldwell for thefisoal year beginning
the first Tuesday in May, 1927, and ending the first Tuesday in May, 1928.

be made, a public hearing be granted, and that said public hearing is hereby called W
and ordered to be held at the City Hall of the said City at the hour of eight o'clock
P. M. on the 27th day of June, 1927, upon said estimate and proposed appropriation bill.
Section 3. That notice of said meeting and public hearing shall be given at
lesret two publications in the Caldwell News, a weekly newspaper printed and published
in the City of Caldwell, Idahb, which notice shall be in substantially the following
form:
NOTICE OF MEETING AND PUBLIC BEARING ON THE PROPOSED ESTIMATE
OF EXPENDITURES OF THE CITY OF CALDWFLL FOR THE FI.SOAL YEAR
BEGINNING THE FIRST TUESDAY IN MAY, 1924, AND ENDING TEE FIRST
TUESDAY IN DRAY, 1928; SAID ESTIMATE AND TAX LEVY FOR GENERAL
PURPOSES BEING IN EXCESS OF TEN MILLS.
The City Gouncil and Mayor having determined that it will
require a tax levy for general purposes in excess of ten mills,
to raise sufficient money for general purposes as provided by law
and as fully setfourth in the estimate of expenditures of the
City of Caldwell, Idaho, for the fiscal year beginning the first
Tuesday in May, 1927, and ending the first Tuesday in May, 1928,
in the minutes of its regular meeting held 6n the 6th day of Naps,
1927 NOTICE IS HE= -Y GIVEN That a public meeting and hearing is
hereby granted on said proposed appropriation bill, to be held in
the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hogr of eight
o'clock P. M. on the 27th day of June, 1927.
Further detailed informatrion concerning said proposed appro-
priation bill, reference is hereby made to said estimate of expend-
itures herein above referred to and full set forth in the minutes of
the meeting of the Mayor and City Council on the 6th day of June, 1927.

Section 4. That the said notice shall be the same as hereby
ordered and that the Qity Olerk of the City of Oaldwell is hereby
ordered, authorized and directed to cause said notice to be pub-
lished as hereinabove mentioned, and procure pfoof of said publi-
cation.
Passed by the Council this 13th day of June, 1927.

It was voted on motion of Mumford, seooned by McGonnel, that Resolution No. 1
be approved.
It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by Dais, that the City Attorney
investigate the cost of codification of the City Ordinances.
It was voted on motion of Uumford, seconded by 1cO onnel, that M. H. Eustace
be employed to assist in completing the proceedings for the sale of Local Improvement
Dist. No. 5 Bonds.
It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by Davis, that the City publish
notice calling for competitive bids for Storm Sewer of Local Improvement Diet. No. B.
The Mayor appointed Dutton, Davis, McQonnel with the City Engineer to in-
spect the work of completed Local Improvement District No. 5 before final settlement
was made with the contractors, and report at the next Council meeting.
It was voted on motion of Roffman, seconded by Rumford, that Council adjourn
until Thursday at 2:00 P. M. June 16. 1927.
