Mr. Ferry ?,leek requested that the sewer be extended 300 feet back of his father's
property. This matter was referred to the City Attorney,
Mr. J.B. Gowen made a report on the Building Permits.
The Mayor asked the City Engineer to investigate and repair bad sidewalks.
Moved by Babcock, seconded by McDannel that the First National Bank of Caldwell
and the Idaho First National Bank, be and they are hereby designated as the B of De-
?ository wherein the funds of the City of Cnldmell shall be deposited. E2otion carried.
Moved by Babcock, seconded by mcDjnnel that the Caldwell News - Tribune be de-
3ignated as the official newspaper of the City for the following two years. Motion carried
There being no further business to come before the Council, it was, on motion
luly seconded and carried, declared adjourned.to meet June 19th., 1939. Motion carried.

The City Council met on C of the Mayor with the Mayor, Edgar L, Oakes, pro.
on Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present. C. 0, MCD`rmel, Oscar
Stengel, W,E,Babcock, M. S. Sandmeyer, W.E._Handford and G. h7, FRnrich.
The Mayor informed the Council that the Meeting was called for the third read-
ing of Bill No 7, probosed Ordirience {557.
The Mayor directed the Clerk to read Bill N8. 7, in full section by section.
The Clerk read the Bill as directed. The question then being rshall Bill No 7 pass "?
The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the Roll with the following results; Those voting
in the affirmative, MCDAnnel, Stengel, Babcock, Sandmeyer, Hondford and Fenrich. Those
voting in the negative. Ilona. Thereupon the Mayor declared that Bill No 7, had passed
and in open session of the Council the M duly signed and approved said bill, and the
Clerk duly signed and attested the same, which became Ordinance No. 557. Thereupon the
Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinance No. 557,
to b a published in the Caldwell 'Sews- Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Cald-
well, Idaho.
The Mayor appointed J. B. Gowen, Deputy Building Inspector and Foreman of North
Park and Golden-Cate Play Ground.
Moved by Sandmeyer, seconded by Hanford that this appointment be confirmed.
Motion carried.
The Mayor appointed Chief of Police as Sanitary Inspector.
Moved by Handford, seconded by sandmeyer that this appointment be confirmed.
Motion carried.
