HomeMy WebLinkAbout1922-06-05city council minutesC .d,Westoott W'T.Kimbrough The following Resolution,by Mamford, was presented: Whereas, proposals for the construction of sewerage improvement inLooal Lateral Sewer meat District No.10, have been duly submitted and received, and opened bythe Council and sa to a committee of three members of the Council for further investigating and report, and, Whereas, such invetaigattons and report has been made and submitted to the Council by committee, Now,Therefore,bv it resolved that the report of said oommittte be accepted and aplgove placed on file, and, Be it further resolved, tht.t it is the sense of the City Council that the proposal of E bower Bros. for the constriction of Sewer Improvement' in Local Lateral Sewer Improvement Di No.10, is the lowest responsible and beat bid received for said construction and that it is beet interests of the property owners and tax payers within said improvement district that fJ "JX$f bid be accepted. Now,Therefors, be it farther resolved that the proposal of a artenbower giros. for the c ion of the sewerage improvement in Local Lateral Improvement District No.10, in oomplianoe plane and specifications, be,and the same 1s hereby accepted and that a ptoper contract be and executed between said contractor and the City of ®aldwell, by the Mayer and City Clerk It was voted on motion of Bollman,seoonded by Oakes, that the Council adopt the above Re and the Cash bid of Hartenbower Bros. as the best bid. It was voted on motion of Uumford,sevonded by Bollman, that the Bill of Morrison- Knddsen Extras for the month of April ,amounting to $8188.05 be paid in oash. It was voted on motion of Bollman, seconded by Mumford, that the City Clerk be instructs return the Certified checks to the unsuccessful bidders. , It was voted on motion of Bamford, seconds& by Kimbrough, that the ComOoil adjourn, APPROVE PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL. The Council met in regular session with Mayor Miller, presiding, Councilman, Bollman, Kimbrou h, Mvmford,Rowland, and Westoott present, and Oakes absent. Fred Mitchell, representing Keeler Bros.,aeked forte straightening out of the Bonds for Sewer Dist. #7.A motion was made by Kimbrough,seoonded by Bollman, Ad oarried, that the manner of hand_ ling the Bonds for Sewer Dist. #7 be given to Finanoe Committeeman, Mamfird,Mayor Miller and City _AttovmeyvGriffiths with power to act. _ W.T.Ballinger asked for a Refund of $4 for Care of Cemetery lot, as he had not as yet seeded the same. It was voted on motion of Ball -an, by Rowland, that the City refund the and the Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant on the Cemetery Fund for that amount. A motion was made by Mnmford, seconded by Rowland, and oarried, that the Commercial 03ab be granted all the priviliges for concessions for the 4th of July. There being a vacancy on the Library Board,the Mayor appointed Mrs.Curtis Haydon to fill the salAa. It was voted on motion of Kimbrough, seconded by Rowland4l that the appointment be con- firmed. A motion was made by8imbrough, seconded by Mamf ord that the City Engineer be instrao d to pat in Sidewalk on the property along Aven St. to conform to the sidewalk line at a cost of 0, m r �I T this property belonging to W.G.Ward. The Council met in regular sessionpursuant to adjournment with Mayor Miller,presiding, Councilmen, Boll man, Kimbrough,Mumford, Oakes, and Rowland, present, and Westoott, absent, Fred Mitchell again app6orwd for Keeler Bros. on the Bonds of Sewer DistJ7. A motion was made by Oakes, seconded Bollman, and carried, that the Finance Committee should send Bonds Of Sewer Dist. #7 to First National Bank of Denver,Colorado, through the First National Bank of CBl dwell, Idaho. A motion was made by Bollman, seconded by Rowland, and carried to allow Final Estimate of Knudsen Co. and-have the Finance Committee secure the remaining number of Bonds from the Pioneer Irrigation Distrdct. , A motion was made by0akes, seconded by Boll —, and carried, that the Council approve the 'Wading Pohl, as constructed in Memorial Park. It was voted on motion of Oakes, seconded by Mumford, that the Mayor appoint a committee of three to revise the license sections of Ordinance #111.The Mayor appointed Oakes, Kimbrough, and Mumford. It was voted on motion of Kimbrough, seconded by Oakes, that the Street Supt, be instruoted to clean out ditch near Mobergs and notify F.P.Kipp, to lower his ditch.
