Shorb, Clerk, when the following business was transacted: approved. The minute^ of the meetings i.eld in May were read and onmotion of Walker The report of the Treaszarer -,as read, and on motion of Walker, referred to the Finance Comrrdtt a. Relr,rt of the F.n_inecr eras reed, and on motion of Adam; approved and ordered filed. Rerort of City Clerk and report of Police Judge were read and or motion of Bardsley accepted and order ^d filed, filed. Roport of Marshall was road and or notion of Adams was received and ordered Report of Seaton was rear] ani on motion of Adana, received and ordered filed. Further that the park located near Frost Station on the Boise & Interurban Railway be known as "Curtis Park ", and that the road and right of way offered by Frost and Curtis, from lower Middleton road to entrance to park nor Frost Station, be accepted and that in considFration of granting r1j:ht of way the City agrees to grade and fence said road, and that the street Commissioner be ordered to carry out necessary work. Further that a uian be emrloi to mow the grass and cut underbrush as orders by Park Committee." Voted, on motion of Ear•deley that the report of the Committee be approved and the requeets granted. Bardsley reported the streets to the dumls ground in a b ad condition, and that it should be repaired at once, Voted, on moticn of Adam, that the street committee be instructed to mace the changes ml do the work necessary to put the street In a passalle condition. a Adams su„gested that the city rroeure from ?50 to 300 feet of hose for use of Mr. Keller and have the streets flushed with water instead of baing swept. Action on the matter was deferred to the next meeting. � 8 The following resolution was introduced by Adarrr;: Mrl'RFAS, a uniform system of beautifying and improving the streets and street parkings of tl.e City of Caldwell has been provided by the City Council, and property owr_ers are desirous of beautifying and improving their property in conformity therewith, and adequate funds are not otherwise available for such improvement, now therefore be it RESOLVED, Fy the Mayor and City Cotmoil of tl.e :City of Cal.dwell: That in any case where the residents and property owners of anyt,lock fronting upon any street In the City of Caldwell desire to beautify and improve their property in the manner herein indicated and will undertake &n3 agree in writing to Ia. cement sidewalks, curbs and ditches, and grade, seed to grass, and set to tree9tae street parlcings, and deposit proper materialoon the roadway of such street sufficient to bring the same to grade, along all of the property of suer Llocrbs; The City mill undertake to locate and designate tl,e grades and lines for sidewalks, streets, street parkings, trees, curbs and ditches, and grade such street and distribute and rack the material there on. A motion was made by Walker that the resolution be adopted. The roll being called on the motion, tie vote resulted: Ayea- -Adam, Adams, Bards ley,Steunenbere, Walker, Zeh - -6. Nays and absent - -O. So the resolution was adopted. It being reported that the Pioneer Irrigation Distri et was about to run a lateral on Dearborn Street to the injury of the same and theabutting property. Voted, on motion of Adam:, that the Street Committee be diver. the n ?cessaey power to prevent the waste diteh fro,a 1 -4.16 piac .i on Fearborn Street until the matter had been duly and regu'arly.considered by the City Council. Vote4 on motion of Steunenberg, that tie water and street committees be in- strutted to fix the water mains on Main Street and then repair the paving.at once.
