BUDGET WORKSHOP SESSION
June 3, 2010

The Meeting was called to order by Mayor Nancolas.
City Council members present: Blacker, Oates, Hopper, Callsen, Dakan, and Sobba.
City Council members absent: None.
Staff members present: Brian Billingsley, Chris Allgood, Monica Jones, E1Jay Waite, Debbie Geyer,
Frank Wyant, and Dianne Wilson.
(DISCUSSION ITEMS)
• Planning & Zoning Department
o Brian Billingsley discussed the proposed lot line adjustment fee.
• Police Department
• Chief Allgood reported on the current crime statistics and grants received. He gave a
PowerPoint presentation outlining the budget. Officer Wyant reported on the personnel
budget.
• Discussion was held concerning dispatch services and the history of the transfer of this
service to the County.
• Chief Allgood reported on expenses paid this year by E -911 funds through Canyon
County.
• Chief Allgood reported on the animal control services with Canyon County.
• Finance Department
• E1Jay Waite discussed the general fund budget.
• E1Jay Waite and Monica Jones presented information concerning the personnel pay
issues and a proposed personal leave package for employees.
• E1Jay Waite and Mayor Nancolas reported on proposed park improvements at Mallard
Park, Marble Front Park, and Luby Park.
No decisions were made and no action was taken at this workshop.
