Smith representing the Chamber of uommeree, _rank moberts of the Airport Commission and several other citizens appeared before the council asking that some imme- diate action be tgken with regard to constructing hangers at the 11unicipal Airport. it was voted on motion of Dickens, seconded by Sandmeyer, that a committee of three be appointed to devise ways- and -means of financing, the advisability and the kind of hanger thajr should be constructed and the probable cost of agme. Motion was made by Bollman, seconded by Sandmeyer, that the rules requiring a bill to be read on three seperage days be suspended, and that Bill No. 1 be read second time by title, third time in full and placed on its final passage. The mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the motion as stated with the following result: AYES: BOLLMAN, -DICKENS, JOHNS, ZEIGHTY AND SANDMEYER. NAYES AND ABSENT: NONE. Thereupon the 11sypr declared the motion carried. Bill No. 1 was read second time by title and third time in full section by eeobion and placed on its final passage. On the question as put bu the Mayor, "Shall Bill No. 1 Pass "? The Clerk was directed to oall the roll with the following result: AYES: BOLLMAN, DICKENS, JOHNS, LEIGRTY AND SAMMEYER. The Idayor and Ulerk approved and signed same in open session Of the Uouncil, and the Clerk was directed to cause same to be published in the Caldwell News- Tribune the offioal newspaper of the Uity of ueldwell, Idaho, and be recorded in the Book of Ordinances. A formal application of U. A. Payne for a permit to construct a Service Station r I'll' i 911 near the Northerly side of the Intersection of Linden Street and ulevelend Boulevard on the property of said applicant, was presented to the mayor and uounoil. The sgme being on file in the office of the City Clerk. It was voted on motion of Leighty, seconded by Sandmeyer, that a notice be given designating June 24, 1929, at eight o'clock P. M. at the Council Boom in the Uity Hall. as the time and place of hearing said application and hearing protests against the iasu- ance of permit thereon. The Surety bonds of the Uity Clerk, City Treasurer and Chief of Police was pre- sented by the Clerk. It was voted on motion of Sandmeyer, seconded by Johne, that the bonds be approved and accepted. The Clerk presented the application of t. A. I for Pool Hall License for the quarter ending August 31, 1929, Lnoom as the Mendel 01gar Store. The'same being accompanied by a check for 126.00, license fee. It was voted on motion of Dickens, seconded by Sandmeyer, that the license be grahted and the the Clerk be instructed to issue same. The Clerk read a letter from the Forward Club under date of may 29, 1929, asking for the approval of J. G. Conley, appointed by.the Kiwania Club to fill the vacancy of H. W. Groesbeck resigning as a member of the Swimming Pool Board of Controle It was voted on motion of Bollmen, seconded by Sandmeyer, that the appointment of J. G. Conley as a member of the Swimming Pool Board of Control, as requested by the Forward Club, be approved. Councilman Dickens was instructed to investigate the purchase of the Loader from Liam County, and arragge for price and payment thereof. Chief of Police Rowledd presented the matter of parking on Main Street and Kimball Avenue, and stating the importance of some better regulations. It was voted on motion of Dickens, seconded by Leighty, that a committee of three be appointed to investigate the matter. The Mayor appointed Chief Rowland, Leighty and Dickens. It was voted on motion of Bollman, seconded by Sapdmeyer, that Council adjourb to June 5, 1929, at 8:00, P. M, APPROVED Clerk. COUNCIL CHAMBERS, JUNE 5, 1929, 8 :00, P. N. Council met in regular session pereuant to adjournment of June 3, 1929, with Mayor MoUonnel presiding and Councilmen BOLLMAN, JOHNS, LEIGHTY, DICKENS AND SANDUEYER. ABSENT: NONE. By special request Clarence Van Dusan appeared before the Iiayor end Council in the interest of working out the Annual Appropriation Bill. The matter was gone into at some length -by Mr. Van Dusan, and considerable information was had be carefull study of the annual audit. Yowever, no definite action was taken. It was voted on motion of Sandmeyer, seconded by Leighty, that Council adjourn to June 12, 1929, at 8:00, P. li. APPROVED: ' LAYOR COUNCIL CHAMBERS, JUNE 12, 1929, 8:00, P. Id. Council met in regular session pereuant to adjournment of Sane 5, 1929, with Fdayor McCounel presiding, and Councilmen BOLLUAN, DICKENS, Xfam, LEIGHTY AND SANDMEYER, PRESENT. ABSENT: JOHNS. USOLUTION N0. 2, BY BOLLMAN, was presented as follows: "WHEREAS, All of the owners of Block Twenty -one (21) of Golden Gate Addition to the City of Caldwell, Idaho, have, by proper declaration, a copy of which is attached hereto marked 'Exhibit A' and made a part hereof, duly declared the plat of said Block Twenty -one (21) vacated; provided, however, that said vacation shall not effect the alley or streets as platted through or upon said block according to the official plat thereof. "NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell Idaho „ that said vacation be, and the same hereby is approved.
