Shorb, clerk, when the following business was trassactedt Minutes of the meetings of ,ray read and corrected by the insertion of the following motion in the minutes of May ar, 1.dl6c "voted on motion of Walker, that the four lots on the northeast corner of Cleveland Boulevard and Eleventh avenye be selected as the site for the 'Carnegie library ouiilri,h," Voted, on motion of Walker, that the minutes be approved as corrected: The report of the engineer was read and, on motion of Adams, approved and ordered filed. - The report of the chief of police was read and, on motion of Bardsley ap- proved and ordered filed. The report of the police fudge was read and, on motion of Adam approved and ordered filed. The report of the treasurer was read and, on motion of Adams approved and ordered filed. The report of the city clerk was read and on motion of Adams approved and ordered filed. The report of the superintendent of water works was read and on motion of Walker approved and ordered filed. The report of the sexton was read rr.d on motion of Adams approved and ordered filed. Stone, for taking acknowledgements, being adversely recommend- ed by the finance committee, on motion of Adam, the recommendation of the finance com- mittee is approved. Voted, on motion of Walker, that the annual reports be referred to the finance committee. Voted, on motion of Adam, that the changes in the revised map of thecity be re- ferred to the street committee. The matter of the drain ditch from the Odd Fellows Home grounds was, on motion of Walker, referred to the street committee with power to act. Voted.on motion of Adaip, that the renewal of t he bond of American National Bank, as city depository, be approved and ordered filed. The street committee reported that the foot bridge across Indian creek at 14th avenue will cost $50.00 and the street committee was instructed to put the bridge in. Report of the librarian was read and, on motion of Walker, approved and order- ed filed. Bill No. 20, by Adams, entitled, "An ordinance vacating, abandoning and dis- continuing certain portion of Everett street between tVnlrieth avenue and the east line of Washington Heights addition to the city of Caldwell," was read the first time. A motion was made by Adam the the rules be suspended and the readings on three separate days be dispensed with and that Bill No 20 be read the second time by title and third time in full and placed on its final passage. I The roll being called the vote resulted: Ayed- Adam, Adams, Bardsley, SGZenenberg, Walker, Seh -6. Nays and absent- none, so the motion prevailed. Bill No 20 read second time by title. Bill No. 20 read third time in full and placed on its final passage. On the question, shall bill No 20 pass? the roll being called, the vote resulteds Ayes- Adam, Adams, Bardsley,_ Stunenberg Walker Zah. -6 Nays and absent- None. So bill No 20 passed, becoming Ordinance No 215. Bill No 21, by Adams, entitled, "An Ordinance vacating, abandoning and diatom tinuing certain portions of streets, avenues and alleys in Frost Addition to the City of Caldwell, Idaho," was read the first time. A motion was made by Walker that the rules be suependid and the reading on thr separate days be dispensed and hat Bill No. 21 be rce.d the second time by title and t third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being called on tle motion, the vote reeultedt Ayes- Adam, Adams, Bardsley, Stunenberg, Walker. Zeh -6. Nays and absent none. So the motion prevailed. Bill No 21 read second time by title. Bill No 21 read third time in Pull and placed on its final passage. On quest- ion, Shall Bill No 21 pass? the roll being called, the cote resulted: Ayes- Adam, Adams, Bardeley, Stuenenberg, Walker, Zeh- 6. Nays and absent- Nom So Bill No 21 passed, becoming Ordinance No 216. Voted, on motion of Stunenberg, that the matter of street siphons, be referred) to the street committee with power to act. The matter of overcharge on passenger fares on the Boise & Interurban street railway within the city was, on motion of Walker, referred to the Mayor and city Att for adjustment. Voted, on motion of Adams, that council adjourn until Monday, Tune 17th, 1912, at 8p.m. J J J
