RESOLVED That the APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL TO CONSTRUCT, RRECT AND MAINTAIN PLANT AND APPARATUS FOR BURNING CRUDE OR FUEL PI'TROI•RUM IOR FUEL PURPOSES filed this date by Dairymen's Cooperative Creamery of Boise Valley be approved; and that Dairymen's Cooperativ Creamery of Boise valley is authorized to construct, erect and maintain apparatus and equipment for burning crude or fuel petroleum for fuel purposes in its plant located in Stook 92 of the original tommalte of Caldwell, Idaho, and to construct and erect crude or fuel petroleum storage tanks, facilities and equipment on Lots 5 to 12 inclusive in Block 68 of the original tcwnsite of Caldwell, Idaho, all subject to and in accordance with the standards and specifications of the National Board of Fire Underwriters and the Rational Fire Protection Association and in accordance with the instructions and requirements of the Chief of the Fire Department and the Building Inspector of the City of Caldwell, Idaho; and the construction, erection and maintenance of apparatus and equipment for burning crude or fuel petroleum Pod of s torage tanks, facilities and equipment in the manner and subject to tMe requirements and restrictions aforesaid, are hereby deemed safe to life and property Moved by Sloop, seconded by Clasen that the contract for auditing the City Books for the period beginning May 1 1943 and ending April 30, 1944 be given to Martin Clasen, Jr., of Boise, Idaho. Moved by Clasen, seconded by Frasher that these appointments be confirmed. on carried. BOARD. Thereupon the Mayor announced the appointment of RARVEY Hopp on the SWIMMING Moved by Olessn, seconded by Fresher that this appointment be confirmed. n carried. Motion carried, moved by Steunenberg, adconded by•Riner that a special permit be granted for ove� A Special Call Meeting of the Zoning Board. On Roll Call the following members were .present- Dr. F. M, Cole, W. T. M. D. Riner and Ancil Steunenberg. The Council met on Call of the Mayor with the MaWror,Thurlow Brvent, presiding. On Roll Call the following Councilman answered present; J.Randall Sloop, F, E. Nauman, 0;''L. Thornock and F. F. Fresher. Absent; Pete Olesen and John Finck. The Mayor informed the Council the Meeting was called to take up new and unfini business. Mr. A. B. Cooper of the Caldwell Produce appeared on behalf of the Rodeo Committe� and asked that the Rodeo be granted a license for a carnival and that the fees be cancelleQ Upon motion by Newman, seconded by Thornock the license was granted and the fees cancelled. Motion carried. Mr. Gene Graves was present and petitioned the Mayor and Council to cancel special improvement taxes assessed against all of Block A and Lots 1,2,6,7,8,9, and 13 to 24 in Block B in Dunbar's Addition. Thereupon the following Resolution was presented to the Mayor and Council by Councilman Thornock. RESOLUTION, By Thornock. WHEREAS, there appears to have been assessed bythe City of Caldwell, Idaho, agal at the following described property, to-wit- All of '_lock A and Lots 1,2,6,7, 8,9, and 13 to 24 in Block b in Dunbar's Add - itibn7�to the City.of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, for the years 1914 and 1915, assessments for sprinkling; and assessments for Sewer District, 3 and WHEREAS, it appears that the record of said assessments is not clear, and it is Impossible to determine wtether said assessments have been paid or not paid, and WHEREAS, all the bonds of said Sewer District No. 3 above mentioned are fully paid and discharged, and WHEREAS, it further appears that suit for foreclosure of said assessments was filed In the District Court of the Seventh Judicial District of the State of Idaho in and for the County of Canyon, w'n ch suit thereafter was dismissed and mark d null and void for non - foreclosure within the period of the Statute of Limitations; NOW, TRERE7O1B, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wayor a nd Council of the City of Caldwell, that said taxes and assessments above mentioned be and the same hereby are, cancelled, and that the City Clerk of the City of Caldwell be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to file of record a certified copy of thia cancelling said assess- ments. Whereupon It was moved by Councilman Thornook, seconded by Councilman Sloop ttat said Resolution be adopted. Motion c Thereupon the Mayor appointed MERRITT C. COOK as AIRPORT MANAGER. Moved by Fresher, seconded by Sloop that this appointment be confirmed. Motion carried. Moved by Sloop, seconded by Thornock that the City Clerk be directed to write the Civil Aeronautics Adm., General Inspection Division, Boise, Idaho, advising them of the appointment of Mr. Cook as Airport Manager.
