We, the undersigned Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell Idaho, do each
hereby acknowledge notice of a Special Meeting of the said City Council, to be }ield in the 6 ouncil Chambers
In the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 5900 P. M on the 28th day of May, 1964,
for the transaction of all business in connection with the following objects: Consideration of plane and
specifications for Local Improvement District No. 55.

Upon Roll Call, the following Councilmen answered presents S. L. Vassar, Jame N. "Bill" Keys,
V. Jay Martin, Charles W. Carpenter, and C. A. Davenport, Absento Max Imby.
Mayor Smith explained that the special meeting had been called for the purpose of considering the
approval of plans and specifications for the excavation work under Local Improvement District No. 55 and to
authorise the calling for bids,
Resolution No. 12
Councilman Vassar sponsored the following Resolution:
RESOLUTION NO. 12
BY COUNCILMAN VASSAR
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE EXCAVATION NECESSARY IN LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DIS
N0. 55 of THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, AUTHORIZING THE INVITATION FOR BIDS AND SETTING A DATE FOR OPENING
BIDS.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, have heretofore duly and regularly,
as required by law, created Local Improvement District No. 55 of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, for the pvrpos
of constructing in said district, improvements consisting of suitable curbs and gutters and street and alley
valleys and for the purpose of surfacing, grading and oiling the streets therein; and
WHEREAS, there is a considerable amount of excavation necessary and the City Engineer of the City
of Caldwell has prepared and filed with the City Clerk of said City, plans and specifications for said
excavation in said Local Improvement District No. 55 of the Citv of Caldwell, Idaho, which said plans and
specifications have been presented to the Mayor and City Council and approved; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to invite bids for the excavation necessary in said Local Improvement
District;
NWP, THEREFORE, Be it resolved and ordered by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho
Section 1. That the plans and specifications heretofore prepared by the City Engineer and filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Caldwell, for the excavation work authorized in said Local Improvement
District No. 55 of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, be and the same an hereby approved.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby ordered to prepare and let invitations for bids and
publish the same in the News Tribune, official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, on May 30, June 6 and June
13, 1964, calling for the opening of said bids at the City Hall on June 15 , 1964, at the hour of 8:00
o'clock P. M. in accordance with Section 50 -2936 of the Idaho Code.
It was moved by Councilman Vassar, seconded by Councilman Keys that Resolution No. 12 be passed.
A vote was taken with all Councilmen present voting in the affirmative and Mayor Smith declared that
Resolution No. 12 had passed.
It was moved by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Davenport that the meeting adjourn. A
vote was taken and the motion unanimously carried.
The meting adjourned at 5:10 P. M.
