it was moved by Va and seconded by 3andmeyer that the Odty accept the above offer
commencing with June let. 1931, provided that there was no time lease on the room now
occupied by the Red Croce and Rest Room. notion Carried.
L. 0. Gray appeared before the Council and reported that the City Dog Catcher had
come to his house and had taken his dog, a female with email puppies, and that the dog
had been held by him overnight, but that aid dog had now been returned.
, park Sawyer, City Dog Catcher, was present and reported that he had gone to the Gray
home upon the complaint of the neighbors, that the dog was vicious. That he had opened
the door and as the dog came out he had put a collar on the dog and brought her to the
City pond.
The 0ity Attorney gave the Ordinance, No. 20, relating to the keeping of vicious
dogs in the city.
The City Attorney was given instructions to make the necessary arrangements to
dispose of the said dog.
The Mayon appointed Mark yawyer to be the City Dog Catcher for the ensuing term.
It was moved by Sandmeyer and seconded by Vassar that this appointment be confirmed.
Motion carried.
Vassar brought up the matter concerning the supplying of the City with gas and
oil by the Continental oil Co.
The matter was laid bn the table for future consideration.
B. H. with of Mountain Home took up the reading of the Audit of the VanDeueen
Audit Co. Ina. This Audit was gone into very extensively by Mr. Smith, and explained
by him in a very satisfactory manner.
On motion by Sandmeyer and seconded by Vassar, the Bonds of the Trossurer for
10,000.00 and of the Clerk for w 3,000.00 were accepted and approved.
It was moved by Dickens and seconded by Vassar that this Council adjourn and
to be'oonvened upon the call of the Mayor. Motion Carried.

The 0it�} Council met in pursuant to a call by the Mayor, with Mayor Fred L L3113r
presiding.
The Roll od the Councilmen was called and the following answered presentr M. a.
Sandmeyer, Art Keister, O. E. Bales, O. 0. Johnson, E. L. Vassar and Joe Dickens.
Abeam none.
The Mayor, Fred L. Lilly, at this time appointed the Caldwell City Library Board
as Follows:- Frank Mumford, Chairman, Mrs Love Miller Smith, Mrs A. B. Cornell, Aden
Hyde and E. L. Vassar.
CA motion made by Sandmeyer and seconded by Eeister, the Council confirmed
these appointments.
The Mayor appointed the Swimming Pool committee& as follows: Mrs. A. E. Laughlin,
Chairman, J. H. Lowell, J. G. Conley, Frank Mumford, Mrs R. Q: kasley and
on motion of Vassar seconded by Johnson these appointments were confirmed.
The Mayor appointed the Air Port Committe as follows: The Mayor, Chairman, Frank
Mumford, Y,rank Roberts, Dr. E. E. Dutton and Jesse GOwem.
on motion of Dickens and seconded by Hales these appointments wave confirmed.

Goo. C. Middleton, Certified Public Accountant, appeared before the Council e,nd out-
lined the plan for the Audit for the ensuing year. The matter of employing Mr Middleton
to do this work was temporarielly deferred.
The Clerk then read the following Contract;
May 18th. 1931
This is an agreement between the City of Caldwell and the Mountain states Tel-
ephone and Telegraph Company, whereb the City of Caldwell a grees to

pavement recently out and removed by said Mountains States Telephone and Telegraph Company,
in comnection with the placing of its undargromnd conduits and laterals,on Kimball Avenue
and in the alley between Main and Arthur streets -- seventh and eighth Streets, for which
the Mountain states Telephone and Telegraph Company is to pay the actual coat of labor and
material necessary for making the repairs herein above referred to, and are not to be liplala

for any accidents or damage which may be caused by said work.

It wee moved by uiokens and seconded by Vassar that the Council acceptabhe
proposition. Motion carried.
The Petition of Arthur L. Gray was read, asking that the Special Taxes on Lots 19,
20 qnd 21, Block 11, Dorman's Addition be cancelled previous to the year 1931.

The matter was referred to the City Attorney for approval.
The Mayor declared the office of City Physician to be vacant.

Moved by Sandmeyer and seconded by Dickens that the Caldwell News Tribune shall be

designated as the Official Paper. Motion Carried.
Moved by Dickens and seconded by Sandmeyer that the Mayor appoint a committee to`
investigate the waste water of ell Irrigation Districts and individuals, who have been
allowing waste water to overflow on Highways and city property, and that this committee
report book to the City Council. Motion Carried.
The Mayor appointed Bales, Xeister and Dickens as this Committee.
On motes f okens and seconded by Vassar the Council adjourned.

The.City Council met in Regular Session with the Mayor, bred L. Lilly, presiding.
The Clerk called the Roll of the Councilmen, and the following answered present;
M. S. Sandmeyer, A. G. Keiater, E. L. Vassar, Joe Dickens, 0. E. Bales and C. M.

Johnson. Absent none.
T. M. Nickel appeared before the Council, and asked that the Tourist Cabins in
Memorial Park be not removed, but that they be leased instead.
The Mayor referred the matter to the Park Committee, 0. E. Bales and C. Y. Johnson.
S. P. Baker was present and asked that he might have a part of the City insurance.
The Mayor and Council took the matter under advisement.
0. A. Pegse appeared before the Council and asked that he might buy the Cabins at
the,City Tourist Park. Mr. Payne made an offer of 500.00 for all the buildings, includin
ten cabins, a kitchen and the Ladiea and Gents Rest Rooms.
The Mayor appointed Sandmeyer, Vassar and Bales as a committee to investigate the
!!! matter of selling these buildings, and report back to the Council.
