The motion of Dunlap that the Council accept the proposition ifff Mr Kelsey as consulting Engineer on Strrest Paving failed of a second. The Chief of the Fire Department asked the whether or not he had the backing and support of the Council in the enforcement of the Ordinance in regard to oleaning up the streets and alleys and fire prevention and on motion of Sutton seconded by Feeling it was nnanamously noted to sustain the Chief. Council man Hayman presiding present Dickens, Dunlap, Fouling absent Moore and Sutton. Motion was made by Dunlap and seconded by Dickens that the proposition of Ayr L C Kelsey for supervising Engineer at a price of 1-J per cent on the uncompleted portion of the paving be accepted and that the Mayor and City Cler be authorised to enter into contract with Mr Kelsey. on the roll being called the vote was as follows; Ayes; Dickens, Dunlap, Fouling Hayman.
