AN ORDINANCE ANINDINO SECTION 2 -107 CALVIELL CODE OF 1942 OF THE CITY OF CAIZWELL) RELATING TO THE
I NSURANCE REQUIRED BY TAXI -CABS LICENSED TO OPERATE IN THE CITY OF CALDWELL, PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE
OR THIS ORDINANCE TO TAKE EFFECT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH:

There being no further business to come before the Council, it was moved by Councilman Myers,

COUNCIL CHAMBERS,
JUNE 7th, 1946,

The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council. R�odms of the City Hall, with
the Acting Mayor, Leo J. Mason, presiding.
On Roll Call the following Co.ncilman answered present: Leo J. Mason, Wm Glaisyer, L. E. Burrell,
John Myers, Dale Fenrich and Bryan Harding.

Mrs. Earl Brockman presented a petition signed by property owners approving the opening of an
antique shop at 718 South Kimball. j
The Acting Mayor referred Mrs. Brockman to the Board of Adjustment.
Moved by Myers, seconded by Fenrich that if the Board of Adjustment finds sufficient signers by
property owners within a radius of 300 ft, other than city property the City will acquiesce.

Application for Punch Board License was readfrom Dick's Drive Inn, thefbescoompanying the ap
plication.

Mr. Martin Chestnut, representing the Junior Chamber of Commerce, requested permission to operate 'l l
a soft drink stand at the Soft Ball Field.
Moved by Burrell, seconded by Myers, that an agreement be drawn whereby the Caldwell Junior Chamber
of Commerce be permited to operate a small soft drink stand -on the north side of the Soft Ball Field. I '
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
RESOLUTION
By Councilman Glaisyer
Upon motion by }larding, seconded by Fenrich, the following Resolution was proposedL
WHEREAS, in accordance with the laws of the State of Idaho, in the absence of the Mayor the preside

of the Council of a city of second class is automatically acting mayor; and
WHEREAS, Mayor R. H. McNeill has been missing as the pilot of a lost aircraft since the latter part)
of April, 1948; and
WHEREAS, Leo J. Mason, President of the Council, has, in the absence of R. H. McNeill, assumed all
'duties and responsibilities of mayor;
— NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved That said Leo J. Mason so long as he is acting mayor of the City of I
Caldwell, shall receive as compensation for his services in that office the sum of one hundred dollars

Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirmative were' Mason, Glaisyer, Burrell, Myers. Fenrich and
i Harding. Negativet None. Absent and not voting: None.
Thereupon the Acting Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted.
A claim was presented by the Golden Gate Irrigation District for payment.
Moved by Harding;, seconded by Fenrich that this claim be disallowed.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. it
