The Council met pursuant to call and acknowledgment of notice in the following form: CALL AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF NOTICE We, the undersigned Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, do each hereby acknowledge notice of a snecial meeting of the said City Council to be held at the Council Chambers in V e City Nall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 5:00 o'clock P. M. on the 23rd day of May, 1961, for the transaction of all business in connection with the following object: To receive bids for Police car, which object was present -d to each of the undersigned in writing. Vassar presided. Upon Roll Gall the following Councilmen answered present:E. L. Vassar, Emile Shorb, L. P. EldredgaA Absent: Max Luby and N. E. "Coley" Smith. The Acting Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to receive and open bids on a car for the Police Department. The following bids were opened andieadi Curt & Hal without trade $2339.85 Burns Chev without trade 2189.00 - one unit & trade 1195.00 two units & trade 3349.00 Garber Motor without trade 2204.00 two units & trade 3349.00 one unit & trade 1154.00 - Lodge Motor without trade 2099.99 one unit & trade 1099.00 Moved by Councilman Shorb, seconded by Councilman Eldredge accept bid of Lodge Motor Co,81099.00, and bid of Burna Chev, 82169.00 provided Burns Chev make immediate, delivery otherwise bid to go to Lodge Motor Co.
