HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-05-22city council minutes300 Applications for Bartender Permits were then presented for the consideration of the Council from Louise B. Buchols, Kenneth L. Broomhall, Colleen Takasugi and Kenneth A. Prather. Each application had been approved by the Chief of Police and was accompanied by a receipt from the Clerk for the required fee. It was moved by Councilman Carter, seconded by Councilman McCluskey, that the applications for Bartender Permits be approved and the permits issued. Upon vote, the motion carried. Bills - mid May It was moved by Councilman Dakan, seconded by Councilman McCluskey, that the warrants for claims be approved as per list and filed in the City Clerks office. There being no further business to come before the Council, it was moved by Councilman Gamboa, seconded by Councilman Carter, that the meeting be adjourned. After a vote, the motion carried. Banks, Alfred H. McCluskey, . A. "Chet" Davenport, Joe Gamboa, James R. Dakar and Lester E. Carter. Absent: None. .I.C. Convention Forms Mayor Carpenter informed the Councilmen that they had each been gives forms for the A.I.C. Conventi n Pocatello, Jana 22, 23 and 24. He urged them to fill out the forms and return them to John Englehart the day so the accommodations could be arranged for. for L.I.D. No. 69 Mayor Carpenter then asked Mr. Lewis to present the bids for L.I.D. No. 69. Prior to the opening of the bide, Mr. Lewis explained that the abstract of Bid was in two sheets, first being a detailed explanation of costs and the second being a summary. He added that the bid would summarized in two ways, the first provides that the Contractor would get the excavated dirt and would die se of it as he desi red; the second would require the Contractor, under the alternat® items in Bid Schedule 301 The following bids were then opened and read for the consideration of the Council. Upon returning to the meeting the City Engineer announced that thre had been an error in the exten sion of item No. 1 of the bid submitted by J. M. Ness Construction Co., and that it should be corrected to read $29,971.16 rather than $29,839.04 as stated on the bid. The following Summary of Bids was then presented. No. 69 in the amount of $40,093.03 be awarded to the A & J Construction Co. of Homedale. Upon vote, the motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Council at this meeting, Mayor Carpenter decla, that the Council would recess until Thursday, May 25, 1972 at 7:00 P.M. Deputy City Clerk
