The Council met in regular session pursuant to adjournment at 1:30 P.M. with for Miller, absent,President of the 0ounoil,Westoott, presiding, Councilmen,Bollman,Kimbrough, Mumford,Oakes, and Rowland,preseat The following report was made by the Committee on Investigation on the bids for the construction of L"oel Lateral Sever Improvement District No.10 To the Mayor and City Counoil',of the City of Caldwell, Gentlemen: Your committee appointed to investigate and report on the bids submitted for the construction of the sewer improvement, in Local Lateral Sewer Improvement District N9.10. respectfully submit the following report: The bids abd responsibility of the bidders submitting proposals dor the construct - Son of the improvement in Local Lateral Sewer Improvement District 3o.10, were invest. igated by your committee, and it has been determined by the committee that the bid HartenboWer Bros. is the lowest responsible and beat bid submitted.It is also further found, that no material saving can probably be made by the oonstruclrion of said improve- ment by force awoount. It is thereforerespeotfully submitted that it is the sense of your committee that it is for the best interest of the property owners anditaxpayers within said Local- Lateral Sewer Improvement District No.10, that the proposal of Hartenbower Bros. for the construe ion of said improvement be accepted and a contract executed accordingly. Committee: F.D.Mamford,Chm. r c .J.Westoott W,T.Kimbrough I The following Resolution,by Rumford, was presented: Whereas, proposals for the construction of sewerage improvement inLocal Lateral Sewer Improve- ment District No.10, have been duly submitted and received, and opened bythe Connoil and am bmitted to a committee of three members of the Council for further investigatine and report, and, Whereas, such invetsigations and report has been made and submitted to the Council b Said committee, Now,Therefore,be it resolved that the report of said oommittbe be aooepted and applovat and placed on file, and, Be it further resolved, thit it is the sense of the City Council that the proposal of rten- bower Bros. for the construction of Sewer Improvemeng in Local Lateral Sewer Improvement District No.10, is the lowest responsible and beet bid received for said construction and that it is for the best interests of the property owners and tax payers within said improvement district that he said 010fiXif bid be accepted. Now,Therefore, be it further resolved that the proposal of Al artenbower Bros. for the a netruot- ion of the sewerage improvement in Lowal Lateral Improvement District No.10, in compliance Fith the plans and specifications, be,and the some is hereby accepted and that a pboper contract be 3repared and exeonted between said contractor and the City of Caldwell, by the Mayor and City Clert It was voted on motion of Bollman,seoonded by Oakes, that the Council adopt the above Re solution and the Cash bid Of Hartenbower Bros. as the best bid. It was voted on motion of Mumford,sewonded by Bollman, that the Bill oi' Morrison- Snndsen or Extras for the month of April ,amounting to $2163.05 be paid in cash. It was voted on motion of Bollman, seconded by Mnmford, that the City Clerk be instructs to return the Certified checks to the unsuccessful bidders. It was voted on motion of MWOrd, seconded by Kimbrough, that the Cou#oil adjourn. APPROVED COUNCIL. CITY CLERK. P COUNCIL O HOB 4 ,JONE 5TH,1922. The Council met in regular session with Mayor Mille, r, presiding, Councilmen, Bollman,Eimbrou h, Mumford,Rowland, and Westoott present, and Oakes absent. Fred Mitchell, representing Keeler Broe.,aeked fora straightening out of the Bonds for Sewer Dist. #7.A motion was made by Kimbrough,seoonded by Bollman, i91d carried, that the manner of hand- ling the Bonds for Sewer Diat. #7 be given to Finance Committeeman, M®mfird,Mayor Miller and City _ Attoaneyv0riffiths with power to act. W.T.Ballinger asked for a Refund of $4 for Care of Cemetery lot, as he had not as yet seeded the same. It was voted on motion of Bollman,seconded by Rowland, that the City refund the and the Clerk was instraoted to draw a warrant on the Cemetery Fund for that amount. A motion was made by Mamford, seconded by Rowland, and carried, that the Commercial Club - be granted all the priviliges for concessions for the 4th of July. There being a vacancy on the Library Board,the Mayor appointed Mrs.Curtie Haydon to ill the saws. It was voted on motion of Simbrough, seconded by Rowlandlp that the appointment be [.on- firmed. A motion was made by8imbrough, seconded by Mumford7 that the City Engineer be instruo t to put in Sidewalk on the property along Avon St. to conform to the sidewalk line at a cost 0 f
