Absent and not voting: None. Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the preamble and resolution duly adopted. Thereupon Councilma n Fenrich, introduced Bill No. 1, proppsed Ordinance #551, by Fenrich, entitled; AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TEE DISPLAY, PURCHASE, SALE END STORAGE OF FmRE- CRACKERS, AND FIREWORKS WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CALD7.7ELL, PRO- VIDING FOR A PERMIT FOR THE STORAGE OF FIREWORKS, FFGULATING THE AMOUNT, PLACE AND MANNER OF STORAGE AND OF EXHTBITING FIRECRACKERS AND FIREWORKS FOR SALE TUTHIN TEE CITY OF CALDIML, FEGULATING THE TIME AND CONDITIONS WITHIN AND MMER WHICH FIRECRACKERS AND FIREWORKS MAY BE USED OR EXPLODED,, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PAF.TS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT H- FiEWITH AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF, which was read for the first time and the Council proceeded to a consideration of Bill No. 1. i Moved by Boynton seconded by Mcimford, that Council adjourn. Motion carried. M r. I p� City Clerk. COUNCIL CHAMBERS, MAY 20th., 1938, 9;00 A.M. The Council met on Call of the Mayor, with the Mayor W. R. "Hollingsworth presidi On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Edgar L. Oakes, F. D. Mumford, W. S. Boynton, G. M. Fenrich, W. E. Babcock and Norvil T. Hinds. A bid for auditing from Byron Defenbach & Sons was opened and read, Moved by Oakes, s econded by Mumford that this bid be accepted, Motion carried. Moved by Hinds, seconded by Fenrich that the Building Inspector be authorized — to issue a special permit to Mrs. Perry to build a residence in "B" Residencial Zone. Motion c arried. The Mayor appointed the Street Committee, City,Engineer and Councilman Mumford as a committee of work out a plan for numbering of residences and naming of streets. This being trie time s at for the second reading of Bill No 1. Proposed Ordinance No. 551, it was moved by Fenrich, seconded b? Mumford tt:at the Rules requiring the reading of an Ordinance on throes eparate days be suspended and that Proposed Ordinance No. 551, b read the second time by title and the third time in full, section by section, and placed or its final passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the Roll on the motion with the following results; Those voting in favor of the motion wares Oakes, Mumford, Boynton, Fenrich, Babcock and Rinds. Those opposed; None. Absent and not voting: None. The Mayor then declared the motion had carried by the necessary three - fourths majority and ~ f L I directed the Clerkto read the Proposed Ordinance the second time by title and the third time in full, section by section, The Clerk read the Proposed O rdinance as directed. The question then being "Shall the Proposed Ordinance No. 551 pass"!'. The Mayor directed the Clerk tocall the Roll with the following result: Those voting in favor were: Oakes, Mum - ford, fenrich, Boynton, Babcock and Hinds.' Those opposed: None. Absent and not voting: [done. Thereupon the Mayor d eclared tln t the Proposed Ordinance No, 551 had passed, and the Mayor, in open session of the Council duly signed and approved the Ordinance, and the Clerk duly signed and attested the sane', whten became O rdinance No, 551. The Mayor then directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinance No 551 to be printed in the Caldwell News - Tribune, the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho. There being no further business to come before the Coi:ncil it was moved by Hinds seconded by Mumford, that Council adjourn. Motion carried. P ^ay CXty Clerk. COUNCIL CHAP:'3ERS, JUNE 6th., 1938, 8:00 P. M. 0 The Regular Monthly Meeting of the 81ty Council met in the Council Room of the City Hall with the Pdsyor, W. R. Hollingsworth, presiding, On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: F. D. Mumford, W. E. Babcock, G. k. Fenrich and Norvil T. Hinds, Absent: Edgar L. O and W. S. Boynton. The Clerk read a petition from W. E. March r ^questing the cancellation of weed cutting and sprinkling taxes on Lot sixteen of Block Twenty -nine of the Original Townsite Of the City of Caldwell. After due consideration the following Resolution was presented to the Mayor and Council by Councilman Fenrich who moved the adoption thereof which motion was duly seconded by Councilman Babcock. RESOLUTION By Fenrich. WHERRAS, W. E. March, has presented a petition to the Mayor and Council for the cancellation of the following taxes on Lot Sixteen (16) of Block Twenty -nine (29) of the Original Townsite of the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, according to the plat thereof, now on file in the Office of the Recorder of Canyon County, Idaho. 1922 - - - - -- Sprinkling Tax---- - - - - -- t 1.66 1922 - - - -- -Weed Cutting Tax-- - - - - -- 1.00 1924 - - - - -- Sprinkling Tax---- - - - - -- 1.85 1925 - - - - -- Sprinkling Tax---- - - - - -- 1.85 1926 - -- -- Sprinkling Tax---- - - - - -- 1.85 Total - - - - - -- 8.41 and he represents that he was about to construct a dwelling upon the premises 'and that he had acquired the property at Tax Sale from Canyon County., Idaho, and, WHEREAS, it appears to the Mayor and Council that there is a goodcausw for allowing said petition,
